Quite small, but great fun for older kids (and adults). 1 hour was enough as it can be quite tiring. Very strict safety policies and two lifeguards on duty on the inflatables was very reassuring. Not at all crowded when we visited at around 1pm.

Great fun for everyone of all ages. Staff were really friendly especially the life guards that sit on the inflatables all day. What’s also nice is that the life jackets were new and clean not like some places you go where they bleed every ounce of life out of them and they become thread bare and uncomfortable to wear.
Really recommend going here for lots of laughs and a great work out

As mentioned in other reviews... this water park requires a lot of strength and stamina. This 40-something Mom probably should have just floated in the ocean and watched her kids... I could have done without participating, but my kids (Ages 8 and 10) LOVED it. We were originally going to do a 1/2 day, and after reading the reviews settled on 2 hrs. That was a perfect amount of time. My kids wouldn't have been ready at the end of an hour, but after 2 -- they were exhausted. Really unique and fun thing to do when you're in St. Lucia!

Firstly, the opening hours on google are 9an - 6pm however when we arrived at 4:45 pm we were told the office is closed and we were not allowed access. This is very disappointing and the opening hours on Google should be changed as soon as possible as this is very misleading. Also, our encounter with the male staff member was very unpleasant and he did not show any compassion and simply stated that we should have been been early and we spent a day doing other things. This showed a lack of professionalism.

We stayed at Bay Gardens Beach Resort for two weeks, and we spent a lot of time in the water park. It was loads of fun! Our son wanted to go there every day.
The staff, both on the beach and in the water park are superb - very friendly and helpful. Thank you to Julie, Roxanne, Tanika, Earl, Khalian, Belliner, and Shane. They were all great! (The only issue with some of them were the football teans that they supported.....). Thank you!

My family had a blast at the Splash Park while we stayed at the resort for a week. It was a fun challenge for all of us; so much fun that we returned multiple times. The view is amazing. The staff members were friendly and helpful.

Thanks for this great review Amy. It was our pleasure hosting you at Bay Gardens Resorts and at Splash Island Water Park. Splash Island is definitely not just for kids and we are so happy that the whole family partook in this attraction. We look forward to welcoming you and the family back to Saint Lucia soon!

Worth the money but one hell of a workout! The lifeguards Shane and Belinda (sp?) were awesome and really enhanced our experience. I honestly didn't expect to last physically for a full hour but it ended up being the perfect amount of time, as my wife and I were the only ones there.

This was at our resort and was the coolest setup! I watched several people try to make it through, and a lot did, but it made you & use your strength to the max. Therefore, I didn't try it. lol But everyone that did really enjoyed it. Loved the colors also.

3 stars is a very fair review. No doubt the activities are fun, but there are several negatives some of which are fixable and others probably are not.
First, the beach is incredibly tiny. And it is comprised of very large boulders that have been covered over in sand. But they are becoming uncovered and not the best kind of beach. I read reviews of only having like 10 lounge chairs and 2 umbrellas, but that clearly has changed. There are many more chairs and umbrellas, although in the same small area so it is quite congested. We were there when a huge, huge group showed up but when they left it cleared up and we were able to move in for chairs.
I will make a special note that there were definitely guides out on the equipment. Some reviews said there were not. I counted 4 which was very adequate coverage and that was a positive.
Now for one of the real problems we had. My kids were all but up from the equipment. My son had cuts all over both legs and our kids' cuts ranged from knees to shins to fingertips. Apparently there are growths on the underside of the equipment that is super sharp and was slicing them as they pulled themselves up onto it. This needs to get fixed, especially if the company is going to keep speaking of their excellent safety standards! Pictures attached to this review.

Good day
Thank you for your review of Splash Island Water Park. Firstly we must note that this incident on the day in question was not reported to us. Had it been reported, our attentive and highly trained staff would have attended to it immediately. With that being said if this did in fact occur at the water park and not elsewhere we sincerely apologize as this is not our standard at all. We are investigating and if this is found to be the case, measures will be put in place to ensure that this does not recur. We hope that this does not dissuade you from returning to Splash Island and look forward to serving you and your family again.

This is a very dangerous activity and the facility offers zero level of security. The reviews that say this attraction has on many sites makes it one of the most overrated activities. The inflatables are old and NOT suitable for any person regardless of age and swimming skills. We are a family of 3, all very fit and used to adventure travelling but the mis leading pictures and reviews led us to believe this would be a highlight of the tour and instead it was a horrible and painful event. The so-called liveguards provide ZERO guidance and do NOTHING to try to attend guests. Even a group of profesional gymnasts who were there together with us would take massive falls off the inflatables, and there is NO saveguards on the equipment; The equipment is NOTHING like in the pictures, there is NO supports for actually climbing any of them relies 100% on very strong arms to be able to pull your way up. The so-called resorts to support your legs are old and not working and when you slide off you get massive bruisings all over the body. Today, over a full week AFTER our trip here my legs are still blue and swollen and covered in bruises. As for children of ALL AGES, parents should be aware that the inflatables are located right out to OPEN SEA and there is ZERO fences in the water, just as there is NO steps from the outside ocean to actually get back UP on the toys, so you are entirely left to pull your children up or need to rely on unusually strong pull-ups by arms. Again, the lifeguards and other staff seem to be entirely unaware or un-interested innattending to any of our concerns and we are in the middle of filing a formal complaint with the St Lucia tourism board and insist that this activity be shut down until properly revised and FULLY updated with basic security and saveguards required by international tourism regulations.

Dear MajaSpillingBeans,
We were very taken aback by your review because of the high level of incorrect information included in your review. For your information we have an off-duty police officer who patrols the area, a security guard, and qualified experienced lifeguards on duty so to describe the facility as offering zero level of security is totally inaccurate.
We are deeply saddened that you did not enjoy your experience with us but for you to imply that the opinions of tens of thousands of customers who have enjoyed their experience should be discounted because you have a difference of opinion is unfortunate to say the least.
You note that your family of 3 are all very fit but there are different levels of fitness. Our park which consists of an obstacle course on the water highlights persons’ level of coordination, balance, strength and agility. Many persons who think they are ‘fit’ recognize on using the park that they probably aren’t as fit as they thought. Many of our clients enjoy the course and the fun of slipping and sliding as they manoeuvre the obstacles.
We also have various entry points strategically located throughout the attraction so it is not necessary to climb from the water onto the pieces. You simply swim and enter or re-enter on one of the entry pieces or steps as we call it. However, many persons enjoy the workout of pulling themselves up onto the pieces.
Our qualified and experienced lifeguards are extremely well trained and are there for the safety of our customers, and this is their primary function. The obstacle course is straightforward to manoeuvre and is quite easy to figure it out. I am sure if you had articulated your questions to our staff they would be more than happy to assist you.
You should note that our park is extremely well maintained and is in no way ‘old’ having opened just 3 years ago. The water park is in compliance with the strictest of European safety requirements (EN 15649) and testing related to materials and performance and was manufactured by Wibit Sports GmBH a German watersports company who has been producing commercial grade inflatable water sports products for over 20 years.
If your legs are blue and swollen from your vacation it is unlikely to be as a result of using our attraction. Persons who may not be in the best of shape may find themselves a little sore afterwards but you would experience this from any attraction that requires a moderate level of physical activity.
Yes, our attraction is located in a protected bay in the open water because we are a GREEN operation and are careful not to do anything to damage the beautiful sea life that is found in the waters. This is a unique attraction in the Caribbean but there are similar WIBIT open water sports parks like it located throughout North American and Europe and our park meets and exceeds the local and international regulations.
As noted in our feedback to some of the previous reviews, if someone is looking for a traditional water park then this is not for you. If however you are open to something truly unique in the open water that is like nothing else in the Caribbean then the reviews and recommendations from very satisfied guests speak for themselves. All the best!

Going off a cruise and planning to get a taxi to the water park. Can I buy the park ticket when I get to the park or do I have to buy in advance? Can we get a transfer back from the park if we stay 2 hours? How much does it cost (2 park entrance, 4 transfers from park to cruise)?
wtp1
St. Lucia
Hi Laura. You can purchase a two hour pass with a round trip transfer for $36 usd per person. The pass itself is $26 and the transfer itself is just $10 round trip. The park would arrange both transfers for you. You can book this on their website. If you have a group that includes some who are just riding along and not using the park the charge is $15 usd per person round trip for just the transfer. So for example above you mentioned wanting to have two using the park for two hours and four additional persons riding along ? That would be 2 x $36 plus 4 x $15 which is $72 + $60 = $132 total. Hope this helps.

hello. coming in off cruise. 3 kids want to play for 2 hours on inflatables. I understand its 11.30 per hour per person. I see you offer return taxi for $10 each. Do you offer pick up at cruise port also? Do you rent beach loungers for the day? Does this price include life vests? thx
Bay Gardens Resorts
Rodney Bay, St. Lucia23 contributions
Good day Jane. The price for a ticket is $13 US inclusive of all taxes and service charge for an hour ($11.30 before tax). The additional $10 return transfer does extend to the cruise port and applies if you have purchased a 2 hour pass or half day or full day pass online. If you are part of a group and you are not using the park and wish to pay for the transfer only the transfer by itself will cost $15 round trip. We do rent beach chairs for persons who are not paying to use the park and that costs $10 per chair for a day. If you are a paying park patron there is no charge for a beach chair but note that they are on a first come, first served basis. Life vests are included in the price to use the park and is mandatory for all park patrons. Hope this helps!

The water park is not located on land but is moored in the open ocean about 30 - 40 yards from the front of the beach. it is very different than the normal water park and that is what makes it great. I do not know if there is a minimum age but I know for sure is that he has to be a strong swimmer but to swim out from land to the water park. If he can swim 40 yards - plus or minus a bit - then he should be just fine.

how deep into the water is the park?
IkeEsq

The inflatables are right off the beach. The volleyball net is close enough that you can stand easily but the rest is in water that is at least 5-6" deep as I was not able to touch the bottom. They provide life jackets as part of your admission.
