Souffrière Volcano and the Botanical Gardens. This half day tour is very good. We were picked up at the correct time 08.00 hrs and our guide,George, was very friendly with a good sense of humour which kept us entertained the whole bus journey to the Botanical Gardens and Souffrière. The driver, Samuel, was very good too as he negotiated all the bends and steep hills very expertly, making us feel safe at all times. Our thanks to them both. George engaged with each and everyone of the six participants which helped to "break the ice" and made everyone feel welcome. George handed us over to the guide at the botanical gardens.
This was a very interesting and informative part of the excursion and I would highly recommend it to all gardeners. The visit of the volcano was also conducted by one of the Souffrière guides. The tour is supposed to be 5 hours' long but with the very heavy traffic in Castries, it is best to anticipate a couple of hours' delay. This tour is a must for visitors to the island. I thoroughly recommend it.

I have recently returned from St Lucia to the UK from a 10 day walking holiday for which I was the leader of a group of 13 people. We used Barefoot for all arrangements connected with our holiday. We were met at the airport on arrival, and again Barefoot staff were on hand to ensure our departure went smoothly. They provided a local guide who was second to none in ensuring the walking programme was well executed and everybody was well looked after. We were taken to many parts of the island that most tourists wouldn’t visit - wonderful. Transport was always on time and we felt in safe hands with a very competent driver. Throughout a staff member was assigned to us as our liaison. I would thoroughly recommend this company - nothing was too much trouble.

I contacted Barefoot Holidays to assist with airport transfers to/from the resort. The booking process was seamless and the team was very efficient and professional. Upon arriving at the airport, I was greeted with a cold bottle of water and a genuine smile. The drivers were very safe, friendly, and highlighted points of interest and information on St. Lucia as we traveled on the various destinations. I highly recommend contacting Barefoot Holidays for your airport transfers.

Booked a full day tour on line for two people and received an acknowledgement of the booking, including the booking number. Heard nothing further and so called them the next day (today), gave them my booking number, and they undertook to call me back 'shortly' - in 5 - 10 minutes via Whatsapp. That was three hours ago and nothing heard. I will check on my bank account to make sure that my credit card has not been debited as I had to give them my credit card details at the time of booking. They undertake not to action this until the booking confirmed so I hope that they live up to their policy. All round a most disappointing experience.

We visited St Lucia in January 2023 and did the 3-hr small museum and garden trip, which we thoroughly enjoyed! If you want action and adventure, this trip is not for you, but if you want a sedate and pleasant morning out, learning a few things about St Lucian culture, it is! The house we visited was only a 10 min drive, in a comfortable 7-seater, from our accommodation in Sandals, Halcyon Beach. It would also be near to Sandals Grand and hotels in the Rodney Bay and Gros Islet areas. The museum itself is small and consists mainly of last century items. I found the gardens more interesting. The guide was very pleasant and knowledgable about the plants and their medicinal properties. We were also joined by another lovely member of staff, Kim. Afterwards we were treated to some neat spiced rum (wow!) and some very nice St Lucian food tasters.

We did a cultural and historical tour with William, who was amazing. He was most engaging and took time to explain how people used the local plants and told us about rural life.
Sylvia gave a superb tasting demonstration of local food and a taste of local rum

My husband and I are so eternally grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Nadia and Barefoot Holidays team. At all times they were extremely professional and provided quality customer service. Super-Efficient, answered all my daily messages and calls, lol. As our wedding planners they went above and beyond the call of duty. Nadia and her team executed our wedding dream come true. It was everything we wanted and more. Months of planning and all the challenges including last minute venue changes they kept us stress free 😁We knew we were in good hands. For the wedding reception Nadia and her team came up with the most beautiful and innovative decor. Wow, it was really lovely. We received wonderful feedback from our family and friends on how lovely, and creative the decorations were... Especially the over bridge table flowers and bouquets, lighting and arrangements around the room. Julian was super pleased with the special customized dance floor. Our entertainment at the reception had our guests dancing for hours, just the way we wanted... Barefoot Holidays St Lucia are like family and made sure we were well taken care of in every aspect.

Please skip this one! These poor horse are underfed and in poor condition. The “jungle” ride is poor footing and lined with trash. When we finally reached the water, the smell was so bad that I had to breath through my mouth. We found out that it was due to rotting seaweed that was covering the entire beach. It looked and smelled like raw sewage. My poor starving horse took at bite at anything he could and my guide kept yelling at me to “smack him”. I’ve owned horses 20 years and never saw such a sad situation. Like other reviews said, your then brought to local spot and pressured to buy over priced food drink and souvenirs that you see everywhere. Then put back on your poor horse, and back to the run down stables where you’re expected to tip them for your experience. Just depressing!!

Thank you for taking some time out to share your feedback with us. We will definitely look into this situation when we carry out our quarterly inspection of tour sites/attractions and the horses. The island did experience an unusual upsurge of seaweed and actions were taken to alleviate that problem. We do hope that your stay was still a pleasant one.

This tour was the highlight of my cruise! Well organized, well staffed and SO UNIQUE in it's experiences! Our day in St. Lucia was full, from being picked up early at the pier, driving to many beautiful places such as Castries and Soufries, beauty by land and sea, including a visit to a lovely beach with a marine reserve and some of the best snorkeling I've ever done, right from the beach. Amazing local feel to it all as well, as we stopped at roadside stands, were actually taken to a local woman's home where we were fed fabulous local dishes and fruits (thank you Gloria!), and visits to an active volcano and mudbath / hot springs. Our tour guide, "Bumpy" was kind and knowledgeable. I would do this again in a heartbeat! Thanks to Levi, Al and Kevin(Feel Good Water Taxis) for a great experience and finish to our day in beautiful St. Lucia. We loved the stop at Anse Chastenet, the bat cave, the food, and the wonderful boat ride back to our ship. Perfect!

Our sincere apologies, we completely missed this question. The Flavors of St. Lucia tour normally begins at 11:00am and your pick up time from hotels in Rodney Bay would be 10:30am. The tour is normally 3 hours long, after savoring the lunch the chef and you have prepared you depart at approximately 1 pm for the hotel.
