This Mall is extremely close to where our cruise ship berthed. It’s a decent Mall with a good assortment of shops to choose from. We had a snack and a few beers in Chef Robby’s restaurant on the upper level which offers free WiFi. We got a couple of bottles of red wine from the duty free shop at a reasonable price.

You need to get past the perimeter and into the main building complex which has rows of vendor stalls. Some will be intimidated by the exterior surroundings, but it is just part of the local flavor. There are good bargains to be had for wood carvings, paintings, baskets, clothing goods, etc. but you must step up and haggle for a lower price. Never accept the initial offering -- bargaining is expected. Some will thoroughly enjoy the experience and others will want to run for cover. I like to engage the vendors, learn their name and a little about them if I'm interested in buying. And if their stall doesn't have something that catches my eye, I've always found it a simple "hello" or "good morning" goes a long way to making for a pleasant experience. The venders here don't pressure you into buying.

one stop shop in an air conditioned atmosphere with dinning minutes away. To add to that the atm and telecoms services are all in reach.

If you like shopping while at port, you will enjoy the convenience of La Place Carenage. It is located right hear where the cruise ships dock and has several duty free, jewelry and souvenir shops. There are also several places to purchase snacks and drinks if you want a taste of the local flavours. The prices in the stores seem typical of tourist destinations and most of the vendors are friendly and polite (a couple of the jewelry vendors were slightly aggressive, but not obnoxiously so).

For cruise ship passengers, perhaps, but no interesting shops compared to the Market or Venders' Arcade. However, washrooms (restrooms) were free and clean.

You may miss this place as its right next to a derelict building in Castries .
Places to dine upstairs and duty free ( very expensive) shops inside the centre .
Some pretty upmarket shops inside and a welcome at in the desk for local information along with some annoying taxi drivers who may want to know all your business if you enter alone.
Nice trendy bar and eateries upstairs with great view of Castries Port
Free wifi
Don't dine in the cafes

Literally next to the carenage and there is a good view of the bay from the 2nd floor restaurant. The shops are pricey and the mall was gloomy and not very inviting.

As part of our "Shopping Tour" with Sunlink Tours my husband and I visited La Place Carenage and Point Seraphine. As both centres are situated at the port where cruise ships come in we feel the prices are geared towards the American market and not to the European. Whether it be jewellery, perfume or clothes we can honestly say we could not find anything cheaper than here in Belgium where we live. Perhaps other people coming from America or England would find things cheaper than home.

We went slightly out of season, so many of the shops were shut and it was rather dull. We enjoyed a meal on the balcony at Chef Robbie's, watching the comings and goings in Castries Harbour. The second time we visited Castries we did not go there, as there was a cruise ship alonside and it would have been like lunching beside a large block of flats.
