Watch the planes take off!

This is a beautiful beach by the airport. You can watch the planes land and take off while you swim. It is great! The water is blue and wonderful!

We love St. Jean Beach- it is very sandy, very calm, and very clean. After visiting all of the beaches on the island, my husband and I feel this is the best and safest beach for children. Columbia is also amazing- but challenging to hike to with small children. Saline and some of the others get deep fast, tend to... More

Had a great time at St. Jean beach! So much so that we spent most of an entire day there, limiting our time to explore the shops! There's a great juice bar right off the road alongside the beach. People were very friendly. Nice vibe. We rented a car to be able to drive around at our leisure. Pretty inexpensive... More

Beautiful, safe (reef protected, no strong currents), comfortable. Beach for swimmers, people who like luxury, gourmets (nice restaurants on the beach). Can rent beds and umbrellas (50 € PP) The (small) airport is right there, does not bother at all and as a plus boats are not allowed to dock. The sea is all for you..

This is one of the best beaches that I have been too. The water was so calm and clear. It was a great place to relax and has great views of Eden Rock.

Fantastic quiet beach, nestled in a beautiful small Harbour. Water emerald blue color, protected by the coral reef. Next to the runway of Gustavia airport you can see the small plane taking off. There are 3 hotels, but is a public beach, where many locals come to walk and swim early in the morning.

Visit all the beaches, then settle back at St. Jean on a lounge chair and 5 star service provided by one of the hotels.

St. Jean Beach is beautiful, absolutely lovely. You can see the small planes coming in and out which might bother some, but we are aviation enthusiast and loved viewing all the different types of aircraft.

My favorite beach on the island. not only are the beach and bay beautiful and easily accessible, the food and drink options are the best: La Plage, Nikki Beach and Eden Rock all are on St Jean Beach and have outstanding food and drinks. You can also rent equipment for various water sports.
