As history buffs, we both loved this small museum. It was one of the highlights of our trip. We would have stayed there longer if they had allowed it. Sad that small places like these often are unheard of.

Rather small museum, but gives nice impression of 18.century - 1950s living in the island. Also some Swedish heritage, which I interesting as also our nation was ruled by Swedes some time of that period. Free entrance.

Some considerable care has been taken with the St Barth Municipal Museum. It is not large and is easily located close to the harbour frontage. It give a brief but interesting insight.

Quick review: we went to see the Jasper Johns exhibit. Make sure to check the times, since the museum closes for siesta and such. Nice display of his work, though without much explanation. I love that you can just walk in and look around, and...More

Recently restored, very nice house from the Swedish period, around 1790. We were lucky to see an exhibition of Jasper Jones and on the other half of the museum the exhibition of old st barth history.

This small museum gives the visitor an excellent idea of the culture and history of a tiny island. The location is a little out of the way but well worth the effort. Try to visit on your next visit to St. Bart's.
