Worth climbing the steep steps to the top for the fantastic views over the town and sea. Not much evidence of the fort left now. Very few other people when we were there, so very quiet and peaceful.

its a big rock. nice views. you walk up there - and you look around. no battle really happened there. I think the french or somebody sneaked by the rock and took over the place - not sure. The dutch and french battled over the...More

There are stairs that head up the hillside, not too many but it's a hot island. There's nothing left of the fort other than some large stones. The views from here are fantastic.

Semi-difficult hike to the top of "Fort" Karl - really a lookout. Amazing views! Loved the remnants of dinnerware and colorful pottery in the mortar of the stairs up. Gorgeous overlook of Shell Beach.

I wondered onto this place while walking around town on my own. It seems to be off the beaten path and there are very few tourists. There is a long flight of steps that leads you to the short trail which ends with the remains...More

This is a short, brisk hike to overlooking Gustavia and beautiful Shell beach, It does get hot, wear tennis shoes, shorts, a hot looking T-shirt, bring your camera or iPhone and a hot man, and you are good to go. Relax with a dip on...More

There are many steps to climb up to reach the top but worth it when you get there. Great views all around including views of all the "billionaire" yachts. A nice view of "Shell beach" too. The fort is not really of any interest but...More
