Enjoying the tropical lifestyle; sandy beach and calm water, ocean air and salty hair, a beach for dreaming, paradise beach; called "les petits bassins" by the locals; this beach is perfect for every one, children can enjoy basins by the coral reef; also surfers will enjoy the breakers.

Our whole family surfs so for us, this was a great beach. We went out a little early in the morning to watch the St. Barts version of the dawn patrol. The beach has a nice little reliable reef break just off shore and the paddling out seems to be pretty predictable. For swimming and people watching, there are better... More

Quite a few surfers on this beach. Great supermarket nearby for cold drinks and picnics. You can find shade and a place to stretch out. Very enjoyable

This is a nice centrally located beach on the north side of St Barth's just east of St Jean. It is about a kilometer long, so plenty of distance to walk and it is wide in most places. There is a surf board rental at the public access across the street from the Mini-Market. Be advised: there are no public... More

nice long walkable beach. Great waves. Popular with the locals for surfing. Great bakery nearby. Not as crowded as some of the other beaches. Nice change of pace.

While this is not the best beach on the island, it is our favorite place for lodging and here's why: A very nice, picturesque, long sandy beach, beautiful ocean views, affordable villas and small hotels (compared to other beaches), very uncrowded, good snorkeling, and walking distance to grocery stores and restaurants. Why is it not more popular? The only reason... More

One of the less traveled beaches on the island, it is worth the visit. We returned to this beach time and time again not only for the view but also for the fine small restaurants in close proximity.

a charming village with a couple of food stores. The little fish store on the road has fresh and good fish.

Very quiet little beach in Lorient and was close to my house in Marigot Bay. Only locals around. Lots of young surfers around for the weekend in a competition.
