So pretty as a postcard, white sand , turquoise clear water, a little breeze, for aventurous people, it seems that it 's here, where Monbars, the pirate hid his treasure ! perhaps you have the chance to find . .., you never know , you may be the one to find this real treasure ..

The wife and I went here twice, about a mile down the hill when you turn at Santa Fe, halfway down is a great spot to pull over and take a picture of the beach from high up. Parking lot fits about 20 cars and each day we didn't have a problem getting a spot. Get lunch for takeout at... More

Gouverneur is an amazing beach in every way. Tip: Watch out for some hidden sea urchins in the rocks on the far left side (as you approach) of the beach.

Beautiful beach, secluded. Edges are calm while the middle is rough. To get to the beach you have to walk a little bit, but it's worth it. Not too many people there, but then again we went on Sunday, took a day trip from St Maarten.

Gouverneur is surrounded by St. Bart's rocky coast as with most of the beaches there but the road descending to the beach is surrounded by beautiful villas and the approach is just fantastic. There's a simple, clean parking lot with very few steps necessary to the beach. The beach itself has wonderful, soft sand and made for a great afternoon.

After a hectic drive this beach is worth it. With nice fine sand and clear waters it's very beautiful however the parking is very limited and you have to be prepared to take your picnic gear and food cuz there isn't much for purchase around.

Visited today. It's been a few years since the last time. The beach is exactly as we remember it to be.....wide with brilliant white sand and sparkling turquoise water. There are no rentals or facilities or shade so come prepared. The beach is not being encroached upon with weeds or greenery. Many people were enjoying the beach when we were... More

A nice beach and easily accessible by car. This beach is long and relatively shade free, so bring an umbrella or be ready for sun. The waves break close to shore and far more robust than other beaches on the island. If playing in the waves is your thing, you will enjoy this beach.
