Small shopping center in the center of Fort de France, not very far fron the cruise terminal. We went there on our first and second stop of our Caribbean cruise looking for souvenirs to bring back. Indide there is also a grocery store called Carrefour where we got some of the snacks for our kids.

Stumbled upon this as we trekked around Fort de France . Many shops here under one roof . Easy access as escalators and lifts as well as stairs .Toilets on first floor .
Nice wee cafe at one entrance where you can people watch and listen to the music from the band on the square.

We arrived in port on our Cruise Ship in a pouring rain storm. The rain let up just enough for us to get out and see some of the sites. We heard about this mall and decided it would a great place to get out of the rain and get to shop. There are some nice stores, a small restaurant and some fast food stops. Well with the time to visit.

I thought there would be an abundance of Paris-style coffee places in Fort-de-France--not so. Inside this shopping mall we found a small stand serving Paul-branded pastries, one standard type of coffee, but no cappuccino. For that we were directed to the next door Café Theatre Perrinon. What luck!
Their cappuccino was strong but not bitter, and went very well with their fresh Pain au Choccolate and Tarte de Pomme. The place was rather dark, but most of us have something we want to hide--don't we?

This mall has nice stores, a brasserie, a Quick restaurant and some snack kiosks (sandwiches, gelateria, etc.).

I asked a street vendor for the location of a bookstore. In my broken French, I was able to acquire directions to the Martinique "mall". Inside I discovered not only a grocer but also a lovely bookstore--Librairie Antillais. I headed for the children's section and explored the French livres. What a fine selection of beautifully illustrated books! I was quite lost in the shop as they had many lovely items--things that I had not found on previous island-hopping stops. I highly recommend this as a stop, if not for something unique, for a slice of local color. The lack of 5 stars is simply b/c the clerk at check-out seemed quite ornery...it was a hassle acquiring a bag for my purchase.

I entered the supermarket, found so many things that I haven't seen back home, left, then step in next door to a bookstore, where you can get books on many languages; next to it clothing stores which caters for both male and female, restaurants close by, banking needs, need to purchase a phone it's right next door, a great place to visit.

This Cour Perrinon is attractive. It has palm trees and several escalators.
They have men , women and children's clothing,
There is even an ice-cream as well.
There is even a supermarket. We an buy vegetables and fruits.
It is an attractive mall.
Worthwhile to see!

Coming to this place on a cruise ship is really a waste of time. The only thing worth doing is taking a ferry to the beach on the next island. It's only for swimming. Murky water with nothing else to see. The cab driver and most everyone else you run into are really the worst hosts for tourism. Most refuse to learn English. They all want your money but they seem to to so entitled that you should just give it to them. Customer service is incredibly weak. The cruise ship comment boxes will be stuffed with passengers writing about the bad experience here. They are so indifferent that it is obviously a great spot to skip on future cruise ship itineraries.

Several entrances here. There are escalators and elevators to go up the floors. There are toilets upstairs but they aren't free. There is a large Carrefour supermarket on the ground floor too. Many stores.

How far is the Grand Marche from cruise ship terminal in MARTINIQUE
Written July 27, 2018
We've arrived in two different cruise terminals. If you arrive in one there is about a 15 minute walk to the start of the shops etc in Fort de France (we took a shared taxi). This is to the sea front. It is then another 10 to 15 minutes walk to the market place. (We walked via the cathedral). Hope this helps
