Love the baked goods and beaches

We absolutely enjoyed ourselves. We took the ferry which cost $7.0 RT over to the beaches relaxed for $10 for two chair and umbrella rental eat at a cute beach side shack stand . The locals are not the friendliest and did not find them helpful at all so make sure you are able to figure it out in your own .

Parc Naturel Regional de la Martinique is agency in charge of protecting Morne Rouge and Jardin D'Emeraude. We used to be here to scuba, today its just to take the beach trail. It's a long walk, but the sand and flower and fona are beautiful.

Long walk... but took my breathe away!

Amazing views! It took us a bit less than 3hrs to walk along one of the 2 possible trails. We took the walk which goes along the beach & a part of the mangrove. I thought I ended up in paradise when we reached those beaches! The trails are a bit tricky & even though it said 'level 1', I wouldn't do it if you're not up to a long 3hr walk with a lot of mud and up- & downhills. Take a bottle of water & take a few breaks! Otherwise, if u're up for a challenge...it is a MUST !!!

protecting our environment

This official agency is in charge of protecting and developing some areas in Martinique, in particular the JARDIN D'EMERAUDE in Morne Rouge and LA PRESQU'ILE DE LA CARAVELLE in the east of Martinique. They also organize field outings and special events.

Beautiful views!

We rented a car and drove over to the water and it was beautiful. I understand what people mean now that they say they live in paradise.

Relaxing Naturel Park visit!
Mar 2016 • Friends
This National Park is located on the road through the forrest that goes through the middle of the island, just after Balata Garden. We enjoyed a lovely walk and saw the medicinal plants and did a portion of the well documented forrest hike. There were 3 hikes all color-coded that lasted from 15 minutes to at least an hour (maybe longer, I don't recall). There was also a lovely museum at the end which was really attractive with many colors and beautiful pictures. It was a museum that could please adults and kids alike, with an original way of displaying facts and pictures The restaurant served freshly prepared food: salads with different shredded vegetables and the crepes were very generous in size!

Misleading title !

The Martinique is not a natural park as a whole but has many.
If you look for a Natural park at Fort de France, you will find a little one on, street Paul Marie Valere.
Just forget it. It is a small park with abandon infrastructures, a training path and split by fences for future experiences that will never come up.
In fact, it was a park ... until two years ago, now under local unions use ... no able to use it.

Except two very big trees, does not worth a photo.

South Panoramic With Beach Excursion - Royal Caribbean
Feb 2015 • Friends
This was one of the worse excursion we've ever taken. We toured the island by bus, the tour person did not speak English well and was very hard to understand. Her microphone did not work well and was very hard to hear in the back of the bus. The beach they took us to Pointe Marin beach wasn't nice at all and very crowded. The banana plantations was actually a stop on the side of the highway where there were plenty of banana trees, but when I asked a question about how and when they took the bananas off the trees she was very rude and said she explained that already which she actually explained only to a couple of people. We were given bottles of water after a visit to the beach was actually to warm to drink to cool off. I would not recommend this excursion to anyone.
