Went here on our day in Martinique. It is an absolutely beautiful beach with lovely sand and calm waters and also good views. Only downside is that there are not too many amenities here but it is very quaint and peaceful.

Long stretch of sand, bordered by palm trees. You can also bring your hammock or rent a sun lounger with an umbrella for 3 hours or the whole day. The sand is clean, the water clear and no stones in sight. There is a very gentle descent into the sea. The water was almost always calm with no waves -... More

Very clean beach with a typical island feel. We went on a Sunday and it was very busy. It took us some time to finally find a parking spot and the "road" was quite rugged, especially for our little rental VW. The beach itself is fantastic, offering palm trees, fine sand and clear water.

We'd heard it was the nicest beach in Martinique but for me it wasn't worth the drive from Le Diamant. Parking was difficult, the road horrendous and there seemed to be only 1 dirty bathroom stall to serve hundreds. However, it appeared that many others thought it was all worth it.

This is a quintessential Caribbean beach with palm trees lolling over silver sands with blue/turquoise water providing a great playground for young and old alike. It is because of this extremely busy. Parking after about 10am is hellish in high season. And it is the only beach I have been on in 2 weeks where hawkers try and sell you... More

Clean beach with lots of shade and cristal clear water! Waves sometimes a bit too high but that's not a bad thing.

The Salines beach is at the most southern tip of Martinique, which makes it rather far from the capital, Fort de France (1 hr drive); but one can easily spend a full day there: it is a long beach, with plenty of space, and the bathing is really good; walking along it, or on the trail to La Savane des... Absolutely stunning; sand is so soft. Water warm and clear; traveled beyond the typical tourist area and it gets very private. Road is a bit bumpy; worth the drive and not to miss.

Our son & daughter in law rated this as one of the two best beaches they visited. It was pretty clean, and it had showers and toilets, which not many of the beaches do.

Les Salines beach is supposed to be the longest beach in Martinique and it also came as the most recommended beach to visit by the locals. It's located in the southern part of the Island, in the resort town of Sainte Anne. The beach is lined with palm and other trees and there are picnic tables throughout the length of... More
