Les Salines beach is supposed to be the longest beach in Martinique and it also came as the most recommended beach to visit by the locals. It's located in the southern part of the Island, in the resort town of Sainte Anne. The beach is lined with palm and other trees and there are picnic tables throughout the length of... More

We were told that this is the one of three very similar beaches that are available to visit from the cruise. Well, if you have a chance to do something else, do it. The beach is accessible only by ferry which comes hourly. The beach is small and dirty. Couple of restaurants are offering very limited menu. Though the island... More

Lots of nice beach here- It is good for walking and easy to find a place in the trees to leave your stuff. Although there were lots of people, there was plenty of space for folks to spread out and easy access to restaurants/beach shacks for lunch. Big waves in parts.

The largest beach in Martinique, beautiful sand, nice tropical forest, easy accessible with car. If the authorities are taking care of infrastructure all the experience could be fantastic.

Les Salines is an amazing beach with beautiful white sand and palm treas. The water is crystal clear and it looks just like those perfect photos you see on the internet with the Caribbean Islands. It is located in the southern part of Martinique and you can book excursions to this beach in advance or while you are in Martinique.

This is a very nice beach, very long, parking was difficult, many pot hold dirt road on one side of the beach. Stayed in the water to not get bitten by the bugs. There are many other beaches that are more pleasant.

Les Salines is a gorgeous beach in the southern end of Martinique. The sand is soft and white, and the water is crystal clear. The beach itself is lined with palm trees and beautiful lush vegetation. It is absolutely a picture perfect beach. What I really loved here, though, was the vibrant atmosphere at the beach. There are food vendors... More

Yes it can be touristy at the weekends, and at mid-day, but all the locals still go. It is a must do in Martinique, if you are an explorer I recommend going left and walking all the way around the corner to some other beaches which aren't mapped but will be completely deserted. This beach is a gem.
