Our guide Luis was so informative, helpful and patient. We had a ton of fun and learned a lot about Puerto Rico.

We called Vieques Paddle a week prior to our arrival. Because our group had different skill levels, from first time paddlers to competitive, we wanted to make sure VP would be able to accommodate us. They were extremely accommodating! Those in our group who were familiar with the basics were able to start w/ o having to go through the beginners orientation. The orientation was extremely thorough. VP is very professional and safety is one of their top priorities ( we were required to wear life jackets). The boards and paddles are the real deal! We had a group of 7 and there were 3 guides with us. The carry water and snacks, a dry bag ( so your personal stuff doesn't get wet). They even had extra sun hats for those who forgot to bring one. The tour begins in the sheltered mangroves nice flat water. The guides make sure that you are comfortable with our board. Then there is a tour through the mangroves, followed by a paddle out to open water. There is a beach where you can rest if you dont feel like going out further. You may choose to snorkel or just take in the view. Our group had an amazing time and will be returning soon ( some of us live on mainland PR). VP accommodates ALL levels.
Thanks VP!!!

Paddleboarding was extremely interesting especially being first timers. Our instructor Gabo was really patient and kind as I was nervous to stand on the board. A tip for prospective travelers are definitely bring a hat because the sun will beam down on you. Also there a lot of gnats which are aggressive in that area so you might want to wear sleeves which is not ideal in the hot weather. My favorite part was when we got to Vereda Cerro beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen. This excursion was totally worth it.

This was our first time in Vieques and our first time paddle boarding and snorkeling and it was an amazing experience!! My husband and I did Paddle boarding and snorkeling trip with Luis. Luis was friendly, funny, he kept us very entertained and we could not have had a better guide. Going under mangrove tree, lying low on our paddle board, was an awesome experience we would never forget and we learned a lot about ecosystem of Vieques and importance of mangrove in the island.
Would recommend this to anyone wanting to try something new and see things from a different perspective.

My wife and I have done this two years running. The guides are excellent and the trip around the mangrove forest and subsequent snorkeling is absolutely as much fun as we expected. Good exercise, great entertainment and even educational. We'll definitely be back to do this tour next year.

My wife and I made our first visit to Vieques the weekend of January 17th, and our private tour became the most enjoyable part of our vacation. As avid paddlers and snorkelers, a paddleboard tour was a definite on our list. Jorge and Margaret were professional, prompt and accommodating from my first contact with them. The custom tour Jorge planned far exceeded our expectations. I've taken plenty of tours on the water, and he is most knowledgeable, friendly, well-prepared, and patient guide I've met. They provide all the necessary gear, underwater camera, safety equipment, snacks and water (including fish and bird guides to identify the wildlife we saw). The only thing I wish I brought was a pair of water shoes or flip-flops for walking over the rocks when we stopped on shore to hike up to the lighthouse, but we made it anyway. Their knowledge of the the surrounding waters, history and coastline allowed them to create a truly one-of-a-kind tour based on our experience level. Seeing the island from the water, and under the water, is the best way to explore Vieques. When we concluded our morning on the water, we left feeling like we made a friend as well as having a great time. The photos they provided within days of our trip were the perfect touch. If you enjoy paddleboarding and snorkeling, don't miss the opportunity to book a tour with these folks! We look forward to seeing them again on our next visit.

Vieques paddleboarding was the highlight of my Vieques, PR trip! Our tour guide was very friendly, informative, and patient considering that none of us had paddleboard before. If you get lucky, you might get your own personal tour if no one else books the same time as you, which is what happen to us! We thought the tour would only be three hours, but it ended up being longer! So we'll worth the money! I would consider vieques paddleboarding a must do excursion along with the bio bay tour! Thank you Vieques paddleboarding!

The Tour- our tour guide was named Rakas? (probably butchered the spelling) but he was amazing. I went with my sister who has a mild mental/physical disability so wasn't able to paddle herself, but that was of no concern b/c she was easily able to just sit on the stand up paddle board while Rakas paddled (she could have gone with me but it was my first time so probably better with him). He was very nice and took pictures of us during the tour (which they later sent by email! very nice touch). Vieques paddleboarding was very open to anyone to enjoy this experience (even a family with a 2 yr old was able to do it!), Rakas is absolutely great with children, They were incredibly nice and easy to talk to over the phone and in person.
Did a little tour of the mangroves, then paddled to a beach where whoever wanted to snorkel could follow Rakas. My sister stayed on the beach while I snorkeled out. We saw many colorful fish, baracuda, stingray, large starfish, lobster, conch and more. Not really a place to see variety of coral but you'll be delighted with the fish! Paddled out the the ocean a bit and then came back.
I would really recommend this tour if you want something relaxing to do, great for the family. Not very physically strenuous (even though this was my very first time) and very easy to learn. Two thumbs up! You really get to see the great beauty of vieques this way without the crowds of people.

My husband and I went on a 3 hour paddleboarding/snorkeling tour with Aura and Rega. It was AH-mazing! I wanted to keep going or do a tour the next day but we had to leave. Honestly, if I had to choose between doing a paddleboard tour or the Biobay, I would choose the paddleboard. I guess some would say you HAVE to see the Biobay and it was cool, something I'll probably never see again, but I, personally, got a lot more out of the paddleboarding and snorkeling. The snack they provided was light, which was perfect because we ate it right before a long snorkel session. You should definitely eat before your tour because my husband was thinking the food part would be more substantial. We are relatively fit individuals, but there were young girls (12-14ish?) and older women (60s) who were able to do all of it very well. At any time, you could opt out of doing anything-sit down while paddling, wait on the beach instead of snorkeling, not go out on the open ocean. And after all is said and done, they send you digital pictures of everything-even snorkeling. I can't say enough great things about our guides Aura and Rega. You need to go on this tour!

Well, we flew via Vieques Air Links from San Juan. The only other option I'm aware of is by ferry from Fajardo.
