This beach is worth the ride down the dirt road. There are several numbered pull offs. All you need to do is pick one! Pretty calm crystal clear water or wavy water depending on your preference. Very few people.

We have visited Vieques many, many times. This is our favorite beach to go. The waters are crystal blue, calm and tranquil. We visited with our 8-7 year olds and they roamed freely without a care in the world. Looking for shells, swimming and snorkeling. Must see!

This is one of the most beautiful beaches I have visited. The water has a stunning colour and is super clear. La Chiva, which is the real name of Blue Beach, looks like the Caribbean paradise you see in pictures.* There were no waves. Some seaweed had washed ashore. The sand was yellowish-white. There are palms along the beach. Get... More

Lots of privacy available and sunshade if needed in the palm alcoves, access #10 is best if you want to snorkel to and around the island offshore. Snokeling is okay, but green beach is better.

Interesting signage about Cayo Chiva being off limits because of bombs. That island right across bay and really drives home the damage to island caused by Navy bombardment. The kids found it fascinating

On an island of amazing beaches it's hard to be a stand out but La Chiva (Blue) is. The water is that perfect Caribbean turquoise color and temperature, the sand white and fine. There are even shady spots for the pale folk. A great snorkeling spot, head to the right of the island as you look out from the beach.... More

Another awesome day at La Chiva ( Blue Beach). This is our favorite beach on Vieques. The water is the most unbelievable color of turquoise you can imagine. The sand, soft and powdery. Gentle relaxing waves. Beach is lined with swaying palms and has lots of secluded areas for privacy. Don't miss this beach when you're on Vieques!

First, you definitely need a vehicle to get to the beach, but it is worth the journey. The beach seems to go on forever and when we visited there were ~6 people (including the 4 of us) on the beach. We went in the afternoon and palm trees provided nice shady and a reprieve from the sun (if desired). The... More

We spent a few hours here, mainly snorkeling. The water is warm and shallow with lots of sea grass close to shore and rocky areas a little farther out - providing a reef area to snorkel.
