This is a great beach if you like or need facilities. There are bathrooms (but bring your own Kleenex or paper) and cocktails/food. The $4 entry fee is worth it. You can also bring a cooler.

Sunbay! Perfect beach for your first day on Vieques! This is a classic but awesome "blue flag" listed, public beach. It has everything you could want, palms, shade, soft sand, crystal clear calm water with no dangers like urchins, fire corals or sharp rocks. It...More

Very nice sandy beach with restrooms nearby. There were only a few people on the beach. Lots of palms for natural shade. No fish or seaglass though. Sand is medium shade and not that gorgeous white soft sand. Water had some algae.

Sun Bay id one of the beaches on Vieques that doesn't have any rocks one could bang against. The surf is usually quite mellow, making it good for casual swimmers and kids. There's also a pretty decent little cafe right off the beach, with burgers...More

This is the locally run beach. Sometimes there is a small fee for a vehicle. Has shade, facilities and food. Other beaches on the island do not. Always a beautiful go to spot.

At Sun Bay, we found a giant parking lot (with grazing wild horses), a well-equipped kiosk with everything your heart and body desire for a good day at the beach and then an AMAZING beach. The beach is long, has white sand, many palm trees,...More
