Sunbay beach is great

One of the beautiful beaches in vieques. We rented a jeep from maritzas and visited as many as we had time for. This was close to Esperanza and our guesthouse.

Great beach but a bit crowded as it is a main beach. Well kept! Beautiful but there are other great beaches to explore as well :)

Stop bothering me. I've lived here for 40 years and like to compare the idiotic comments your researchers come up with.

When in Vieques we always stop at Sun Bay. It's a great beach to go swimming and most importantly, has nice palm trees to protect you from the sun. Drive all the way towards the end, park your car, and walk down to the beach. You can stay there for two/three hours, enjoying the day, swim and go back under... More

Lovely and well maintained. The entire bay is not blue flag certified so the far ends have a build up of seagrass and such (you know nature). There are clean restrooms and a little playground. There is a small restaurant and cart but you must have cash. Sometimes there are lifeguards I think but I didn't see any.

Beautiful long stretch of beach that wasn't crowded. We camped on site and ate lunch at the cafe (amazing 2 pound fresh grouper fish that was just caught that day and homemade pina coladas with real coconut and pineapple!). This is a great little spot to escape reality and just relax. The horses that roam the beach make for great... More

We enjoyed this beach a great deal. It is a long beach with shade available and a nice, shallow beach area. There is easy parking available. The small outdoor restaurant was a great find for a quick lunch and a fresh coconut.

This is probably the biggest single stretch of beach on Vieques. You have to pay to enter ($4) but it's worth it. Beautiful crystal clear water, white sand - you can't go wrong.

This area has access to three really awesome beaches. The easiest one to access is sun bay beach and it's the longest beach on the island. Really close to Esperanza, attached campground, and host to plenty of activities. Went to a star talk here at night.
