Best beach!

Quiet with fun waves. Rough driving to get there but that's part of the fun!

I've explored most beaches in Vieques and this is my favorite. The white sand is impeccable and the water is spectacular. There are usually very people here which often makes it feel like its your own personal beach!

The dirt road to Navio was quite beaten up and filled with deep puddles, but we managed to get there. You'll need to drive slowly and carefully. Once you get there, you will be rewarded for your trek with fun waves, gorgeous trees and outcroppings,...More

My husband and I like Navio Beach: it's good for body-surfing and very, very uncrowded. However, we prefer Playa Caracas: more navigable (both in getting there and in use) and "gentler", ie, easier to swim (less waves), and paved road all the way -- unlike...More

Very very hard to reach - you need a 4 by 4. But once you get there - its secluded, surrounded by caves and so beautiful, you never ever want to leave. Its deeper than some of the other beaches in the area - like...More

Navio Beach is one of the few beaches with some surf. Although even with the surf it is very swimmable! Watching the waves crash against the caves on the left side of the beach was incredible! One of the more empty beaches and we came...More

Difficult to reach without a good Jeep (or very tractioned shoes). The short road from Media Luna seems to get worse each year. But that suits me fine, because it helps keep this wonderful little beach, set between two cliffs, from being taken over by...More

We went on a relatively busy day, but it still had room to spread out. especially at the most western (right if you're looking at the water) end. This was the most fun for riding waves and exploring tiny caves on either side of the...More

I can't give you precise details, only my observations. The "wild horses" of Vieques are not wild. I was speaking to a park ranger about the horses, because I was curious about the apparent emaciated state of each of the... More

No! I left my flip-flops on the sand under the back of our rental Jeep. (Bad idea) They were stolen while we were enjoying the beach. Crimes of opportunity are common here bit violent crime is pretty much unheard of.
