The rough surf of Navio Beach attracts surfers and a younger, more hip crowd.

This was a great change from the calmer beaches. A bit bumpy to get to but this beach was lots of fun!

The waves are great. Don't get nervous about the road - if you have 4wd you will be fine. The rocky cliffs are beautiful! It was well worth the drive. Oh by the way, there are signs directing you straight to the beach.

You will not be dissapointed by this beach. The views on this beach are breathtaking, and some of the quirks are very cool. To get to the beach you first need a 4x4 vehichle. Road in some spots are tough to get through, rocky and...More

Playa Navio is one of the most beautiful beaches in Vieques. It's a typical Caribbean postcard: fine white sand, Turquoise water, coconut trees. rough sea, not good for swimming. Rough dirt road, you need a jeep to get there, or park your car in Playa...More

Navio is awesome!!! It was my favorite because it has this awesome little cave you can swim into, and the waves are just high enough that you can really enjoy bouncing around in them but not so scary you cannot swim. Nice quiet calm beach,...More

It is a trek to reach Navio Beach but it was well worth it. Navio was far and away our favorite beach. It is large, great scenery and very few people.

Not easy to get , you MUST have 4X4 as there is no road there . Beautiful beach white sand , turquoise water . wavei and has seaweeds so wasn't as clear as other beaches.

I think one of the most picturesque on the island with clear blue water and bright white sand. Waves for body surfing but easy to swim out past for calm deep water. Small cave at one end of the beach.

I can't give you precise details, only my observations. The "wild horses" of Vieques are not wild. I was speaking to a park ranger about the horses, because I was curious about the apparent emaciated state of each of the... More

No! I left my flip-flops on the sand under the back of our rental Jeep. (Bad idea) They were stolen while we were enjoying the beach. Crimes of opportunity are common here bit violent crime is pretty much unheard of.
