A long heavily rutted road takes you to this beach. You have to enter Sun Beach($2 access fee) to get to Navio. We saw pictures of caves on Navio and figured we'd have them for shade. But the caves fill with surf. Guidebooks mentioned this...More

The waves were great. There isn't any shade, which is great for sun lovers, but not so great for my husband that like to sit under a palm tree & read while listening to the ocean. Beautiful blue water. This was one of my favorites!

Am hesitant to write about this beach as it would be a wonderful secret. When we arrived, we were the only people on the beach and it was like having our own private paradise Eveything about it was perfect. It is a bit of a...More

So so. Wasn't worth the 20 minute trek through huge mud puddles, and then 20 minutes back. Plenty of other beaches in the vicinity that are more accessible and equally if not more beautiful.

While the road to Navio seems scary - very bumpy and lots of water - it is absolutely worth it. The sea is a little rough, but crystal clear, and the beach is absolutely beautiful. Don´t go with a normal car though, you will definitely...More

This is a fun beach if you like to play in the waves, which my husband did. Kinda knocked me off my feet tho!

This beach was almost as much fun to get to as it was to be at! We had a jeep, which is about the only way you're getting to this beach. It was a dirt road with huge mud holes. The beach was amazing. Rocky...More

We had gone by Sun Bay and Media Luna but were looking for something a little more exciting. The road is definitely a tough walk with some big potholes and puddles so a 4wd is recommended. But after getting there we were impressed by the...More

The road is not for the faint of heart. At least a jeep is needed. Water to the bumper. Beach is rougher water and lots of seaweed. But this is where you can cliff dive and there is a cave you can swim to. So...More

No! I left my flip-flops on the sand under the back of our rental Jeep. (Bad idea) They were stolen while we were enjoying the beach. Crimes of opportunity are common here bit violent crime is pretty much unheard of.
