This is an iconic beach in Vieques that after hurricane María, Sept 2017 lost many palm trees and has been hard to get to. We went last weekend and found it as beautiful as ever... and with lots of seaweed. We had a lovely time...More

Picture postcard beach with turquoise water and white sand. However, the wave action is quite strong so good for boogie boarding but too rough for most waders and swimmers. I enjoyed the ten minute walk from Media Luna beach and saw some nice flora and...More

Unless you rent a Jeep you will probably have to walk to this beach. The road can be pretty rough and most rental companies don't want you to drive their vehicles to this beach unless you rent a Jeep. BTW, Media Luna beach is on...More

Navio beach is beautiful! White sand, clear blue water. It's ringed on both sides by cliffs, so there only really one way to get there by land, and that's on a very rutted, very rugged dirt road, on which only SUVs, Jeeps and pickups should...More

Overall: This is a beautiful beach that we basically had to ourselves. Worth making it a destination. Access: This is one of those Vieques beaches that is fairly remote, accessible only by a poorly-maintained gravel/sand road through the woods. We did it in a minivan...More

Getting here is fun, and if driving in on the road you will need a jeep for sure. This beach ,as are many beaches in vieques, is beautiful. There is a cave that you can sometimes see wildlife. The surf is strong at Navio beach.

This is a neat beach, it's a little remote, you probably want to have a 4x4 to get here but, it's worth it. There's a cool little cave on the East end of the beach and some underwater caves around the point further to the...More

Definitely one of my favorite two beaches on the island. Water is crystal clear and aqua blue. Unlike othe beaches Navio has waves (small waves). A few places for shade, but better to bring an umbrella. It is a small beach blocked in by rocks...More

This is an incredible beach and if you can get there (jeep, scooter, UTV) it is well worth it. We got robbed though - only $50 but still sucked. Don't bring a lot of stuff and keep it close to you!!

I can't give you precise details, only my observations. The "wild horses" of Vieques are not wild. I was speaking to a park ranger about the horses, because I was curious about the apparent emaciated state of each of the... More

No! I left my flip-flops on the sand under the back of our rental Jeep. (Bad idea) They were stolen while we were enjoying the beach. Crimes of opportunity are common here bit violent crime is pretty much unheard of.
