From Fajardo: Icacos Deserted Island Catamaran & Picnic Cruise

1,009 reviews
Combining activities with lunch and drinks and transport can start to get pretty expensive in Puerto Rico when planning independently. This San Juan cruise saves you money by merging a catamaran cruise with lunch, local sangria, beach time, and even an optional upgrade for hotel pickup and drop-off.
$99.00 per adult

Went here a few times during our visit. Don't even bother showing up till 1am and on peak nights it gets going around 3. My only feedback is that "it is what it is". It's a gay bar. We were served average mixed drinks, and met some nice guys. Nothing special- still fun. And yes, like everyone says, there is more than just the tiny front bar. Go thru the door at the end of the bar to the next rooms.

The place is fun. It gets busy very late( around 1 am) . The reason I give 3 stars is because I got there early and the bartenders overcharged me for a drink because I showed him my ID to open a tab and he saw I wasn't local . He charged 9 dollars for a titos vodka and cranberry . I knew something was up so I waited a long time until next drink and I heard people taking order next to me and they were being charged way less .

A few of ours friends and some locals we spoke to all recommended Circo. My husband and I decided to have one night out and check it out. Forewarning, it looks sketchy and small BUT looks are deceiving. We entered at about 11:30PM on a Saturday into a tiny bar area playing 1980s rock videos on TVs. We thought "this is it?!" We saw a random doorway with plastic over it (like a freezer entrance) and asked someone if there was more that way. We went through and discovered an alley way with a bar and fire excape that lead to the second floor which was a pool room. There we met bartender Gabriel who took care of us for the night. He was great! Very attentive and nice. Ironically we met him the day before and he was one of the aforementioned locals who recommended Circo to us (he did disclose he worked there). We got talking to a gentleman who has a second home on the island and frequents Circo often. He said to us "The other room opens at 1." We were SO confused because we didn't see any more doors. This is where the "bigger than it seems" comes into play. In the alley way downstairs there are two sliding metal doors. At or around 1AM (Which is LATE for this Bostonian) the doors open to a larger dance hall with a circular bar in the middle and a tiny stage for a drag show. Yara Sofia was set to perform that night (Who is really good!). Definitely worth going to. I would advise to go late. In Boston bars close at 2AM so we were not used to this! Bars close at 6AM in PR. At Midnight the place was still empty and didn't become busy until 1. We were told also there are some other bars in the area if you want to bar hop (a concept lost on me since I am so used to cover charges).

Firs let me start by saying the bar staff are amazing here. The problem is when the dance floor opens up it so loud that is shakes the whole building to the point of deafening. We have been to clubs everywhere and this was a huge disappointment. Sure we love a good dance floor but this was painful to listen to. We had to leave because it just was simply too loud. However, the bar staff was overly kind and amazing. They were also very grateful for our business.
