Stopped by the poets passage when I noticed a beautiful poem in the window that drew me in. The store owner wasn’t there but her husband - a painter - was there and he was very kind. The cashier was also very sweet and answered all of our questions. She even mentioned that they do poetry night on Tuesday but unfortunately we missed the opportunity to attend. Recommend that you stop by to give this place a look.

The Poets Passage is a little gem in old San Juan. Not only is this an art gallery featuring Nico but also a place to hear poetry reading. We appreciate and support the works of local artists and the Poets Passage is a short walk from the cruise terminal for all you cruisers looking for local artisans.

This is mainly an art gallery though they do have space in the back for jam sessions; listen to a live poem recital while sipping on freshly roasted coffee at The Poet's Passage. The cafe serves as an artistic hub for locals to meet, chat and perform. this is right at Plaza de Armas square (a prime spot in San Juan). The exterior features a colonial façade painted bright red with white trim. Inside, colorful art and poetry decorate the walls with local artisan crafts displayed and sold.
of course, you won't stop yourself to buy Puerto Rico's famous Souvenir - small replicas of colorful houses or framed paintings. these are must buy

In a city filled with shops selling gifts and souvenirs, this one is a little different. Plenty of handcrafted items made locally with a poetic theme. Definitely worth a stop.

This is mainly an art gallery though they do have space in the back for jam sessions and the like. I wanted to buy everything I saw in the shop area. A husband (artist) and wife (poet) owe the place and it is stocked with their work. The poetry was beautiful and the art work was a mix of realistic and more cartoony. I restrained myself and only got two things (one is a gift).

we visited in august 2021. three yrs ago we bought a huge painting of the Flamboyan that was mailed to our home in massachusetts. this time we bought some cooking books and some soaps. The store has an opened space feel and beautiful ambiance. you can just visit and admire the art. no pressure to buy anything. There are many large framed and unframed paintings, also you can buy some food items, home decor .

This local artisan has very unique poetry and art made from that poetry in her shop. Amidst a lot of shops where everything is the same, this one is refreshingly distinctive and really moved my heart. This is a must see while in Old San Juan.

Last stop on our island getaway trip. We were surprised at the *Light & Love* that shined in here. Taina's know how to turn tragedy into something so beautiful. Sabrina's passion lifted Lady Lee's lyrics off the page and seared them into our souls until the tears flowed.
