The staff was very friendly but clearly this park has been hit by both the hurricane and the Puerto Rican budget problems, as there were areas that needed attention. But if you're looking for a place to stroll through as a respite from the city...More

Call before going. It cost us $50 in cab fares. A security guard stopped us at the entrance and said the gardens are closed as they are still working on repairs as of Dec 13

This place is just beautiful but I wish more tourists visited and the government provided more funding to keep this place at the level it should be. It is not as well kept as would be ideal and it's being used far below its capacity....More

This botanical garden provides pathways shaded by beautiful trees. A place where you can walk and admire the vegetation at no cost. It is a peaceful place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big city of San Juan.
