If in Condado Beach, must have pizza at Via Appia - awesome pizza. Just walking around the street is pretty fun; lots of places to eat for all budgets.

The beach is beautiful and excellent for a seaside walk or jog. However, some portions (such as in front of the Marriott and Vendig Street) have dangerous currents and really are not fit to swim in. There are warning signs. If you want to take...More

The Condado beach beauty is due to the roughness of the waves. It looks dangerous but if you like waves and know how to swim it should be fun but be careful. The shoreline of the Condado hotels is so gorgeous and picture perfect. Just...More

You don't need to leave the U.S.A. to have a luxurious Caribbean vacation. Leave your passport at home. Use American dollars. Be treated like you're not ugly. Most people even speak English fluently. And the prices are reasonable. The beach is pristine, and the people...More

Admittedly rougher than other beaches on the Island, but if waves are what you are after, go for it. Watch for strong undertow on rougher than normal days. Truck raked by the town regularly to remove seaweed. Enjoy !!

Upon entering the beach area we were able to rent chairs and umbrellas at a very reasonable rate. The nearby hotel offered beachside beverage and food service. The beach was very clean and the experience was excellent.

The day I was there it was murky with a very rough surf condition. It is a rocky, foul looking place. It is not the "bath tub" calm, crystal clear kind of water you see at a place like Aruba, or Trunk Bay, or those more... More

No, not at all. It's usually a bit rough. It's open Atlantic Ocean, not the Caribbean.

First trip itinirary -- advice needed please! (2 Replies)
I will be traveling to San Juan May 20-24 with DH and 5yr old son. It's our first trip there and we want to experience as much of the "real" PR as possible. We're not into hiking or the rainforest, and it's a bad time for biobay (full moon). Below is our itinerary, does it sound like too much? Thursday -- arrive in afternoon 4pm. check into ESJ head to Santurce, hang out at la Placita, dinner at Bebos. Friday -- drive to Catano, take ferry to OSJ. back to Catano visit Bacardi rum...More
