Kayak Equipment Rental at The Condado Lagoon

Our experience is really special because of the ecosystem of the lagoon. It is very common to come across manatees that feed on seagrass and that live in harmony with so many other marine species that live there. The lagoon is an important natural reserve that is protected for study and conservation as it is part of the San Juan Bay estuary. It also has a community of natural and artificial reefs that make the experience even richer. The flora, the mangroves, the landscape and how the species live in their natural ecosystem is an experience added to the sport to be performed in the lagoon. These conservation efforts seek to educate and increase knowledge for their conservation and the enjoyment of these beauties. The best thing is that it is centrally located at the entrance to San Juan, the capital of Puerto Rico and the historic center that is the largest tourist attraction on the island.

This was a highly recommended area to visit. There are fliers and handouts in the lobby of the hotel. We walked they but it was empty and not really worth the time.

Shopping info for San Juan needs to be updated. There is nothing here anymore...one booth selling books and a section that looks to be a hair salon.

Went based on past reviews -good to check the dates on reviews!!! Anyway, there was a book stand, a portable hanging stand with some decent pre-loved women’s clothing, a hair salon and that was all. No barista, jewellery, food, etc. Paid an Uber driver to drive us to essentially nothing. Too bad.

Santurce Pop is a collection of pop up shops including both food and merchandise. I stopped by for lunch at the Bistro Fit area which serves pasta, wraps, and some other things. I wanted pasta and you get to choose a sauce and two accompaniments. I chose the pesto sauce with spinach and mushrooms. I had my doubts but, man, did they deliver. The pasta was fantastic! It rivaled that which I've had in restaurants costing much, much more. If you're looking for an "off the beaten track" kind of place, stop at Santurce Pop and see who's cooking!
