From Fajardo: Icacos Deserted Island Catamaran & Picnic Cruise

1,019 reviews
Combining activities with lunch and drinks and transport can start to get pretty expensive in Puerto Rico when planning independently. This San Juan cruise saves you money by merging a catamaran cruise with lunch, tropical drink pouches, beach time, and even an optional upgrade for hotel pickup and drop-off.

I lived across the street for 9 years about 5 years ago and loved jogging here, doing my morning exercise or just sitting in one of the benches or on the grass with my blanket to read a book! I never saw any kind of “shady activity”. There could be some bums once in a while sitting on one of the benches but being in front of a church and with a lot of people doing exercise and walking with their kids and walking the dogs, it’s a very safe and family friendly plaza! Some personal trainers bring their people here too. There is a playground for kids and some grass to play or just lay a bit in the sun, have a picnic or just sit at one of the benches in the shade!

I really enjoyed this plaza. It has a small gazebo that apparently has Salsa class sporadically. Roosters, birds, dogs & children abound. If you’re in the neighborhood, check it out

Despite the heat of the day, this park was cool and relaxing. Very quiet, benches in the shade. The clucking of chickens and pigeons. A lovely statue of Mary Magdelene. (I spend days trying to find out who Antonia Quinones was thinking the statue was of her. Finally a local set me straight. Antonia just donated the land and money for the statue. There were some nice trees that were hurt by MARIA.

A really nice plaza and park. Lots of great areas to sit and relax. Plus a rotunda, statues and fountains too. They cleaned it up a bit and got rid of all the chickens and roosters.

This is a beautfiul, quiet, small park located just a short distance from busy Ashford Avenue. Visit and you will find interesting trees, monuments, and fountains with places to sit and relax. The park is clean and safe. Don't be surprised if a chicken or two wanders by. It is used by families, walkers, lovers, fitness buffs, and those looking for a bit of local serenity. At night, the park is well lit.
