This is my fourth time staying at Villa Del Mar, I like coming in August because they're not a lot of people. Even with the water shortage we always enjoy staying here and visiting a small shop around the place, people friendly. Of course you have to drive thru Los Piñones to get here, but most of the time we... More

I stayed at Loiz Aldean 2 years in a row,and even though I stayed in Isla Verde last time because the dates I wanted were not available, I still went there to visit a little store and the owners I had become friendly with. I enjoyed the welcome and appreciated their true friendliness every time I stop by. I will... More

We chase crabs in the water and there were plenty of Kiosk with delicious food, going again the end... More

It was very pleasant and relaxed place. Beach near by and two swimming pools. Friendly staff workers and security guard walking around the premise. Very affordable and easy to get to.

While rich in history, it is also the place were the music of Bomba y Plena was born. Good to visit on Sundays and Saturdays.

This area is NOT your normal tourist area! Aquatika has RAZOR WIRE around the top. Loiza is a low poverty area with Aquatika stuck in the middle. I personally did not feel safe at times. Although there is a gate and a police station next door my husband & I never walked outside the gate or drove without our doors... More

Friday 25 of July was a great parade alongside the route 187 thru the city of Loiza and its adjacent "barrios". People wear costumes and play music. Traditional Food is everywhere. Also the National "BOMBA" Festival is celebrated that day and there is a competition of drums called "tambores" playing the Loiza Bomba rythm, bomba dancing and negro culture poems.... More
