This is a great place to experience 16 century architecture. You will also find religious reliques from the time. From here enjoy the great vistas of one of the oldest towns in the island.

The place was easy to access from Lajas. The people were very friendly and the area had an "old time" charm. Brick stone covered streets and little shops. Nice change of pace.

OK. I adsmit to being an unabashed fan of Spanish colonial religious art and architecture. Still, the Porta Coeli is well worth the visit by persoins who are not so passionate about this form of historical art. Visit it. It's worth te drive.
