A fantastic experience on this gorgeous river. You start with a very brief introduction to your guide who also is your captain for this journey as he poles you down river to the coast. The rafts are of basic bamboo construction but more comfortable than they look. The rafts are then purportedly dragged back upstream after the trip for the... More

We went for a friends birthday party and it was a lot of fun. The captains will punt the rafts down the river, and guide you to the end. During the trip you will get to swim and at some places you can grab a Vine and swing dive. There is a food shack on route, so you can stop... More

3-4 hours trip down river ending at the ocean. You need to arrange taxi transport in advance. Rental villas or hotels can arrange this. Each raft takes 2 passengers. The captain will stop anywhere you like enroute - there are many beautiful swimming holes. Generally the river is very shallow with small, fun rapids. We took a picnic and pulled... More

We took a raft down the Rio Grande, late one morning in Jamaica. The entire ride (about 2h non-stop) was very relaxing and picturesque! Our guide, Lloyd (#134) was fantastic - very friendly, respectful and knowledgeable. We had a rental car for this portion of the trip so we drove to the main office at the mouth of the Rio... More

This is simply a unique experience. Let your captain (we had Pablo - excellent) take you on a wondrous river journey, telling you stories all the way. This is what Errol Flynn used to do with all his lady friends - and we could see why. You'll go through 'Lover's Leap', a concealed stone formation under some willows where he... More

We went rafting on the Rio Grande after several days of significant rainfall, consequently the river was high. We were the only ones there as they had just opened the attraction. It was very safe and they provided life jackets due to the water level. My wife still talks about it with a sparkle in her eyes. It is a... More

This tour was inclusive in our honeymoon package at Rio Vista Villas (which is conveniently 5 minutes walk from Rafter's Rest) We left the rafting until the end of our holiday and picked a day with bright sunshine. It is best to go when it is sunny as a dull day will make it perhaps a bit chilly in the... More

We did not do this but thought would update the price. We were planning but decided not to due to the cost, which was recently increased to $70 or $75 per raft.

It's about 3 hours from beginning to end. You sit back, relax, the Captain does it all. (Suggest you bring some padding for your seat though). It's a trip back in time if you just lose your mind. The fragrances are so aromatic, the greenery so lushicious thats it's really candy to your eyes. The Price is well worth it... More

The river was very swollen the day we visited so the trip took ony 1.5 hours instead of the usual 2.5 This was enough. The guides spoke to each other and did not converse much with us even when asked questions. The scenery was magnificent. The ticks were very active. The fare of 52 USD per 2 persons seems high...
