If you are coming from Kingston or Montego bay, this may seem like quite a drive, but its worth it. nice cove, access to beach chairs, bar and food, changing rooms and showers. Waves can be rough so keep an eye on the non-swimmers and children accompanying you. Lovely lush begetaion on the way down to the beach.

Beautiful (gated area) sandy beach. Entrance fee US$10 pp. Shaded areas and tables and clean toilet facilities. Drinks and nice food served though service can be a bit slow. The breaking waves are really fun - our kids (4 to 8) loved it. Very relaxing environment.

Many thanks to Gregory, he went out of his way to provide a seamless service for us at the beach, accompanied with a pleasant manner. I would highly recommend asking for Gregory upon arrival. As he will pave the way to you having an enjoyable experience at the beach. His local knowledge is A1 also.

I hope it never changes as far as local accessibility, beauty, charm, and exquisite. Beautiful water and scenery. Roads to and around the area is horrible and it is the rainiest part of the island.

Frenchman's Cove is my favorite beach in Jamaica. It not only has a lovely beach but a river flows into the cove for a nice freshwater experience to cool off and feel fresh. They have a decent restaurant and bar service, but I like to get jerk chicken and jerk pork from Boston beach a short distance to the east... More

Gorgeous waters, exciting wave action and a tranquil lagoon. A white sandy beach abut wonderfully landscaped gardens. Frenchman's is a picture perfect spot that offers what can only be a great day at the beach.

If your in Jamaica, you have to go here! Out of all the places I've been in Jamaica this is by far my all time favorite! The visit is breathtaking.... It's peaceful, beautiful, relaxing and overall amazing. During our holiday in Ocho Rios we traveled to Port Antonion as I heard good reviews and I wasn't overrated, if anything it... More

This is an old timey rich folks resort out in the middle on no where Jamaica. I did not stay there, but went to their beach and walked around the place. Word it Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Marylyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra etc stayed there back in the 50s and 60s. Now, it looks pretty much run down, but one can... More

Rustic charm is a cache but it aptly describes this hotel. Quite picturesque and the perfect getaway from the stresses of regular life. The staff are always friendly and helpful. My favourite hotel by far

Beach itself is not large but is one of the more well maintained and cleaner beaches in the area, so it also tends to get more crowded. We were there recently (in a relatively quiet time of year) and still there were a fair amount of people at this beach. You have to pay both an entrance fee and then... More
