If you need a break from gorgeous white beaches, the cliffs are a great change of pace. It’s amazing how the landscape changes from breach to beautiful cliffs overlooking the ocean. Make sure to stick around for a sunset off the cliffs. It’s absolutely stunning.

The Cliffs of Negril have been a favorite spot of mine for over 20 years. It is different from the beach. Great snorkeling, beautiful cliffs, and lots of beautiful places to stay and restaurants to eat. A little less hustle and bustle than the beach....More

The cliffs are a beautiful area best seen from the Red Stripe catamaran sunset cruise. It includes Rick's cafe and several boutique hotels with long steps going down to the sea.

We hired a car and stayed in all sorts of places right around Jamaica. Our experience was safe, and so much to see. The swimming was excellent. Everybody we met was a fun experience. We loved it. But dont drive at night.

The cliffs of Negril are a source of beauty and solitude...abundant snorkeling and vast expanses of coral.

The cliffs are the best spot in all of Negril in our opinion. It's fun to go to the beach but for lodging there's no better place than Negril Cliffs. There are many great resorts and the water is gorgeous! Seven trips to the Cliffs...More

Are there ATM's available in the Negril Cliffs area?

downtown is the only place with "real" ATM's - i.e. ones associated with banks. the one at Time Square is a 'private' - 'for profit' one, so fees are higher than the bank ones, and maintenance is not always guaranteed. same with ones located on resorts and at hotels - I personally stick to the bank ATM's cause i hate paying those ridiculous fees!

I'm looking for any advice for accomodations on the Negril Cliffs.... we'd like something on the cliffs, not across the road, or up any of the lanes....closer to the town, not out near the lighthouse....with A/C...under $100US per nite... by all means, please send any and all ideas/info Peace!

My husband and I went to Samsara on Jan. 16 and we able to move around because they offered a shuttle to their sister hotel, The Legends. We stayed in room 216 and had a wonderful view. The food was ok, the pillows bad, the people great and the drinks great. The weather was cool and January and we won't go at that time again. We love Jamaica and have been about 20 times. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Is this a walkable area with multiple restaurants and bars? And are there any shops? Wondering if we need a specific destination to be dropped off at or if we can just get out and walk around? Thanks!

"Is this a walkable area with multiple restaurants and bars?" There are multiple restaurants and bars on the West End Road (aka One Love Drive). However, the road is heavily traveled, contains a number of sharp turns and dips, has no sidewalks, and many property owners have built high walls up to the edge of the pavement. In addition, there are few lights at night. You can walk along the road, if you used great care, during the day. After dark take a taxi. "Wondering if we need a specific...More
