It was my first dive, nervosity in the air but master diver (and owner) "mike"and his assistant "Christian" took me through everything you need To know for this 15 meters dive. Lasting 35 to 40 min. Quick brief about the signs, the dangers, the reactions you might need to have during your dive. They are very very professionnal...with a relaxing mood always. They know how to joke also ! They take their time with you which must not always be the case in other shops !
Then instructions in a pool done we reached the big moment..sea water. The reef is just amazing. Spotted straight away some lobsters with help of mike and his red torch to catch attention and point, then some lion fish and sting ray. Hundred of colours, fish and corals. Everywhere you look you see something and always feeling safe with those guys ! Safe and fun ! "Their moto". Would have gone a third time if i had the time. They also offer certifications as mike has thousands of dives under his belt all over the world. So overall magic experience from beginning to the end. (For small groups or solo you can ask him to take a camera). Thank you again Mike and Christian you made me discover diving ...the beginning of lifetime enjoyement because i will definatly get my training done soon. One love ! Nikko

Dream Team Divers is now Scuba Dive Today, headed by Mike Cabana (form, owner of Marine Life Divers). Mike is a good manager and a great divemaster who is enthusiastic about his business and diving in general. He has a lot of experience and he knows the house reef at the Coral Seas Cliff Resort like the back of his hand. If you want easy & relaxed shore diving (no 8 AM cattle boat departures!) at more shallow depths (max = 55 ft) with personalized attention, Mike is the man to see at Scuba Dive Today. My wife and I rented our equipment from Mike since this wasn't really an official "dive trip" for us and all of his gear was in good shape, clean and worked well. Our dives were really good and we enjoyed Mike's company so much that we joined him for happy hour at a local beer joint later in our stay. He is a good man with an interesting life story and worldly travel/work experiences. We will definitely dive with Mike & Scuba Dive Today again during our next trip to Negril.

These guys are great! The last time I went diving was 5 years ago when I got certified and I was nervous that I wouldn't remember a thing. Mike was so reassuring and calm and friendly that I was put at ease immediately. He went over all of the equipment and the dive route thoroughly, has a great sense of humor and is full of interesting stories...once I got down there it was like riding a bicycle. Went on two dives off the shore in glorious reefs full of variety and color and schools of fish. A perfect way to be reintroduced to diving. I feel confident and ready for my next dive trip!

I did 4 shore dives, and 4 boat dives with the very professional staff from Scuba Dive Today, and had a blast! Their house reef at Coral Gardens Resort appears healthy and thriving, with a wide variety of fish and coral . The boat dives were amazing! These were deeper dives, and Owen the dive master followed all safety procedures exactly. My favorite dive was to the sunken tugboat. Mike and his staff run a tight ship at their new location, with all equipment functional and in good condition. I would recommend them to anyone wanting to dive , from beginner to advanced.

Nice fun diving. Lot's of variety: shore reef, boat and night diving, deep and shallow dives. Interesting and beautiful sites with lots to see. Long dives for those who enjoy exploring and taking good photos and videos. One can spend one hour on a site very comfortably and still want to continue for another hour. The staff is very accomodating. The team was really good Jamie and Owen the dive master are very friendly, professional and helpful with the divers gear. They knew very well the sites and shows you exactly what you need to see. They make the dive very safe. Had a great time with them. The trip had a add on for inland excursion to the falls and Black River that was really good. Highly recommend this team and diving with them.

We did 2 days with 2 dives each with the Dream Team Divers. Their boat is super spacious and we were a small group of 8 divers in total. They made sure we did everything right, cared about our safety and we were super happy with our scuba instructor Moustafa. He taught us something more about our equipment and explained about the animals, showed us many small ones too and was very friendly. Our diving group was 4 people only, so it was not crowded and we had a nice time. 3/4 of the diving spots were beautiful, one was just a bit cloudy, but this is due to the wind and the waves. We would definitely recommend the Dream Team Divers and especially Moustafa :)

Mike was excellent. I don't even usually praise someone like that but all praise to him. He maintained communication via whatapp from the time I contacted him in the USA till the time we landed. He sent a driver to our hotel and safely lead us out into the ocean (it was our second time ever in life). We felt completely safe with Mike as he was very professional and very knowledgeable. It's not up for debate; Dream Team Divers has perfected their blue print.

Great spot and location - very close to Rockhouse! Mike was awesome and he was able to fit myself and 2 kids in last minute (and get my wife and our younger kids some snorkeling gear to hang out while we dove). Equipment was great, Mike was very knowledgeable master diver/trainer and funny as well, my son, Jacob, 21, loved the dive off the cliff to do some shore diving. We saw lobster, moray eel, sting ray from loads of fish. It was an incredible great time.

After 2 years of hiatus, my husband and I went on 3 days of 2 tank diving with Mike and Sharren, two days of boat dives and one day of shore diving. 6 people max dive group made our dive trip very personable. The small group setting made it easier for us to reacclimate in the water at our own pace without feeling rushed. Mike and Sharren made a good team of safety first and fun / intimate service second. We really enjoyed all of our dives and felt cared for throughout our time with them. Good briefing/debriefing, good value, and well maintained equipment. The shore dive off their backyard was the highlight of all the dives we had with them. We trust Mike and Sharren so much that we will listen to their recommendation to try Cozumel as our next dive trip. The saddest part of this trip is to say goodbye to both of them!

Super nice, fun staff. I showed up with no reservation and they were super nice, had me set up and ready to dive within a half hour. I did two days of diving with them. One day was shore dives on the house reef and a night dive same spot. Next day we did some boat dives. I’ll definitely go back and dive with them again anytime I’m in Negril.

What is the process for booking if we are not staying at coral seas? Looking for a reputable, safe dive operation. Open water certified, but still very new to diving.

Hi coming to negril on Sunday . I am interested in Padi Cert. for 2 people. Anything I need to do before. Will be staying on the cliffs. Is the open water cert. something that can be done in a relaxed way in 3-4 days?

Hi
We can complete the Open Water course in 3 half days, but more relaxed if certification dive done on morning of 4th day. Either way we can complete.
PADI Scuba Diver certification can be easily completed in 2 half days, just an option for you.

Hi
The diving is good, we are located on the West End of Negril, the viz should be OK, and a little chance of rain, not often the conditions change here.
I hope this helps. Water temp 80f.

Hi, In the period from 1960 to 1970 I totaled about 75 scuba dives of which 25 were in the Florida Keys (maximum depth 60 foot range) and surrounding areas over about 6 year period. The balance of 50 were in Ontario Canada, most with my dive club. My training was indoor pool throughout the winter meeting weekly. Our club awarded certification at 2 levels, blue and red, before NAUI started. I was at the top level which also included an ice dive (never again). For the five years diving in the Caribbean waters we used my buddies boat and his compressors etc. My age is 66, ultra healthy. What would you suggest to bring me up to speed? and get current PADI certification? Will be in Negril sometime this fall, fairly open to timing

Hi Sammy
Thanks for mail, sorry for delay, no internet on Saturday.
If you are already certified, you only need to do a Refresher course, a 2 hour program.
If you are not, then we can complete the PADI Scuba Diver cert, or Open Water cert.
Scuba Diver is 2 half days, Open Water is either 3 half days, or do cert dive on 4th morning.
You would need to get hold of a PADI Open Water manual and read the first 3 chapters only, mainly pictures for your quizzes.Main difference between courses is depth, and Scuba Divers must go with a dive Pro on each dive.
Let me know and I will help all I can.

Grazie. Hi Claudio, sorry for the late reply...unfortunately our Italian is bad, so I have to answer in English. we offer private shore diving, one dive 40 US, 2 dives 70US.
Depending in which resort you are staying we offer free transportation.
Hopefully this wasn't too late and it will help you.

I am coming in December and would like to scuba dive. I do not have certification and don't want to get into deep water. Is there an in-between for novices

Hi JF from Ottawa,
The course we would the suggest is called Discover Scuba Diving, a Resort course that gives you a basic introduction, takes you in the Pool to make you comfortable with the equipment and then into the beautiful Big Blue at a max. depth between 30 - 40 feet.
Not sure, if that is whst you are looking for. If you are uncomfortable in that depth the dive could be also done in 20feet.
Hope I could help.
Best wishes from Jamaica
