We went with Tui on the Adults Only Catamaran cruise to Rick’s Cafe. We did this excursion in April 2018 and March 2022 and the 2nd time was even better.
Cost $80 per person, including open bar with unlimited fruit rum punch, beer, rum, vodka & coke etc…plus banana chip snacks & mini biscuits on the Catamaran.

A coach picked us up from Royalton Negril hotel and dropped us off at Margaritaville Seven Mile Beach (7-10 minute drive).

I absolutely love the beautiful beach and the vibe of Margaritaville. There are plenty of fun props to take holiday photos.

We all boarded the catamaran and the fun began, music and rum punch flowing.
The crew on the boat were amazing, they were climbing the ropes and preforming aerobics, dancing, serving drinks and personally bringing all the guest drinks. We felt very safe and the captain was very strict and made sure all the guest obeyed the rules. An excellent crew, very professional and well organised.

Our 1st stop was to take part in some snorkelling in the ocean. The trip included the free uses of snorkelling equipment.

After snorkelling we headed to Rick's Café.
Rick’s Café is perched on the edge of a cliff above a sea cove and you can see locals dive into the water from the 10-metre cliffs.
Rick’s café is what Jamaica is all about and we will return to jump off a higher cliff.
My 1st visit I was too scared to jump and regretted not jumping but this time I jumped and the feeling was amazing.
Rick’s Café is all about the vibe, atmosphere, the people, music, food, drink and ticking it off your bucket list to jump.

Best value and experience excursion.

Stunning scenery spot and great diving pool.

We had lunch here and although a little pricey we really enjoyed the opportunity to dive and watch the divers.

Worth a visit, just beware you cannot take your own drinks or food in.

We arrived right at opening and there were very few other people there. It was the perfect time for those who are looking to see the beauty of the scenery and water. We got some amazing photos and were even able to get into the water alone!

The staff was great and kept an eye on things for safety. They also offered to take photos and tell us about the area. The drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was super chill. After hearing me fuss, the bartender teased my partner, offering some relationship advice which we both thought was funny. The pool was nice and had great views.

After a while divers began to jump in around us which was really cool to watch. One of the lifeguards dove from the highest point which was incredible! Even if you aren't looking to dive, Rick's is a beautiful and exciting place to visit. If you are looking to jump, there are various heights with lots of staff nearby to give you tips and keep things safe and fun!

The drinks come in plastic cups, jd and coke $12, cocktails $10-12, I don’t mind paying this if they were presented as cocktails….. every time you order a drink they keep between $2-3 without even asking for a tip, for example my drinks were $17 I gave $20 he just didn’t return…. So I decided to pay by card - 5 red stripes for $25 in a bucket, he charged me $28.75 to my card?? The cliff jumpers walk around asking for tips before they jump off, overall a pretty terrible experience, I’m glad I came to say “I came to ricks cafe” but I’d never recommend this place, my all inclusive hotel is better. I visit and stay at places based on reviews and I am by far a moaner, this is just an honest review, and a review I’d have liked to have read before visiting. Iv attatched pictures of the cocktail glasses

My friend and I decided to visit Rick's Cafe while on our vacation to Jamaica because we heard it is one of the things we had to go to while in Jamaica. We did enjoy our time although halfway through our visit it started to rain. The rain sort of put the dancing and cliff diving on hold. We did enjoy watching the cliff diving and dancing while available. The food was overpriced and was okay, the gift shop is very tiny and the service is super slow other than that we enjoyed Rick's Cafe and would recommend going if in Negril.

Best thing for this place is to knock it down. Money grabbers.

You get searched here more than Gatwick airport just to make sure you have no bottled water so that they can then overcharge you for their own. The staff are as helpful as a chocolate teapot. In fact, I genuinely think the teapot would be more helpful.. also way overpriced for what it is.

Why you would go to Negril (known for its’ quieter and more calming atmosphere) to basically experience Magaluf I’m not too sure, just go to Magaluf for the same experience. It’s basically a hyped up Hard Rock Cafe with a cliff that you can jump off.

Views are good if you like staring at the sea, which you could do anywhere there to be honest. Our experience here was absolutely shambles and I’m pretty sure all 85 of the staff there were on their first shift, or maybe they play a constant game of ‘see who can be the least helpful’, I’m not sure.

You will be sold this excursion on the basis that it’s nice to go here to watch the sunset. It’s full of teenagers and the views are free if you go and sit just down the road anyway.

Save your money - complete waste of time.

We visited on a Friday at around 3pm. It was fairly quiet and just people eating upstairs. The food is the most overpriced and underwhelming food I have experienced in the whole of jamaica-currently been here for 3 weeks. We had jerk chicken, steamed fish and ital pasta, all were bland and tasteless. The jerk chicken was barely cooked, it was rubbery and slimy. Sometimes cheap chicken is like that after cooking so I didnt want to accuse them of under cooking food incase it was just poor quality but the worst jerk I've ever had in London or jamaica. At 4/5pm the tours start arriving and it got busier, lots of people just having a look really which is the best idea. Both drinks and food were SO expensive, it ended up being $90 for 3 plates of food and 1 drink...insane. People jumping were offered no reassurance and were simply told to 'avoid falling to the left'...which put a few people off. You are literally the entertainment for the place and they charge you for the privilege. The jumpers who worked there were great and the music played was good but please go there to purely have a look and not to spend any money on food or drink. The pool had lots of leaves in it (very hard to constantly clean when theres trees above it I know) but didn't see anyone attempt in the 3 hours we were there. There was also 2 cocktail glasses on the bottom of the pool that remained there all day. At the entrance, security also told us to pour our water out (we had 1 small bottle between us) which seems dumb on a day that was 32 degrees. I understand it's to make more money but Jamaica just isn't that place for overbearing rules and we were buying food and drinks anyway. Absolute tourist trap and I wouldn't ever return.

Got a taxi from Mr T to Rick's Cafe during our holiday in Negril. We weren't disappointed! Fantastic place. W e arrived around 2ish before it gets busy and left at 5 - most people arrive for the sunset. I did the 35 foot cliff jump - far higher than it looks on social media! They make you do the 25 foot jump first. The cocktails were superb. Particular mention to Roswald who served us and is a superb bar tender. Rick's has been around since 1974 for a reason - it is iconic and great value for money. If you are in the region, you MUST visit.

I went here apart of the Island Route tour with our guide Prudence. It was very lively when we arrived. Visited here with a group of 11 as part of a birthday celebration and day trip all in one. We were hoping to see some people jump off the infamous cliff while we were there 6/18/21 but it was rainy off and on and to top it off algae was at the surface of the water something terrible.

Only one kid jumped and he was haggling guest for 20 bucks to jump off a higher ledge that towered over the tallest cliff from the roof of one of the bars. He tried to get my group but no one gave in, none the less get to the point and went about his business. The music was great, the crowd was lively, and the drinks wasn’t strong at all but tasty. You’d have to ask for a real strong drink otherwise you’ll be spending money all day to get a buzz.

I didn’t order food as I wasn’t hungry. Their gift shop was highway robbery ($32 for a tank) but I got one as a souvenir anyway as I don’t see myself ever coming back. I didn't like the lady at the cashier asking for a tip. I’m not tipping you for ringing up a shirt. Especially not no 15% or 20% - Not sorry!

I had fun don’t get me wrong but its a tourist trap. Overpriced for no reason other than people are crazy enough to pay what they’re asking. They had two boats docked out front and it look like fun party day cruises and the crowd was lively on there too although they weren’t affiliated with Ricks they added to the electrifying party atmosphere. It was a great experience and I encourage people to go even if its just one time. It was really cool!

Rick's Cafe is well worth a visit if you are staying in Negril, most hotels will organise you transport to and from Rick's at specified times. We only went for a couple of hours to have a few drinks, watch the cliff diving and see the sunset but you could spend all day there happily.

Amazing atmosphere, great music and cliff diving if you're brave enough. If not, it's great to watch. One of the best places to see the sunset!
