    Nice beach spot

    Snorkeling

    We were in Ocho Rios on a cruise and Leroy dicosta helped us find perfect snorkeling. Outside the port in the marina near the beach ask for Leroy and he can get transportation to all the sights and at a fraction of the commercial rates!

    You can walk to the beach in around 20mins, don’t know how much a taxi would be, but it’s not very far, keep walking through the town with shops etc until you reach a large car park with barriers go through here to the beach... More

    There is hot food available on the beach . When we were there you could get Jerk chicken and rice and peas

    Hi, We are going to Palm Bay Beach Club next week with our kids ages 9 and 12 who prefer to snorkel from shore than jumping off a boat. Any recommendations? Also, we have 6 full days - already planning to go to Stocking Island, renting a boat at least one day and a car at least one day. What do you recommend as not to be missed? The kids really wanted to go to see the swimming pigs, but it looks as if that would cost about $800 for all 4 of us which we don't want to spend. Are the Kayak...More

    If you are renting a boat and lookign for places to snorkel the best thing to do is make sure you get the green map from Minns. On it there are little x's which indicate the location of mapped reefs in the harbor. To be honest, most will require a swim from a boat, but there are a couple close enough to the beach to swim to.

    yes - when we stayed there, our room had a 110v US / NA style 6-outlet power bar.
