Fun for the Whole Family - Tubes have bottoms
We floated down the White River on a combo tour. You get a helmet (was needed) and life vest, then back on bus to start of tour further up the mountain. Recommend renting the locker for valuables and keeping things dry. The floats have hard plastic bottoms because the water is shallow in some places with lots of rocks. You will get wet but not soaked. The water is cool/cold but not freezing uncomfortable. Recommend water shoes - guides keep you floating down the river as you easily get stuck in the curves. River doesn't flow fast. There were two parts that were 'rapids' but very safe and short. Locals have tables in the middle and sell you drinks and snacks which was funny. It's very beautiful and we enjoyed it (ages 9-55).

    Fun, easy activity
Ours was on the Martha Brae river, not the White. Well organized. Nice bus ride to starting area. Lots of different activities there. Our guide was 'the president'. Good job. Helpful, informative. All the tubes are tied together. there are a couple of gentle rapids but for the most part it is a smooth drift under a canopy of bamboo. Very scenic. $10 fee for locker for bags, purses, etc. Small gift shop. Bought snack and frig magnets. Bus trip over from port, guide K.C. was excellent. Driver ws Joel who did a good job on the narrow, 1 lane roads

    White River Tubing
This is SO fun. Our tour guide was O'Dean and he was great! We had a lot of laughs and it is so beautiful!! It is a really great way to experience the river. There are bars along the way if you'd like to sip on a red stripe while floating down the river. The river itself is SO clear. It looks like you can touch and you definitely can't in some spots. The rapids are fun and pretty low key mind you there is still a small chance you can tip on one of them but it is fun. Would highly recommend. Definitely one of the highlights of the trip!

Had a wonderful time with the group of mostly seniors. Highly recommended if you want to experience the interior of Jamaica and the opportunity to meet some of the lovely people of the island. Easy float down the river with a few class one or two rapids. Teens would enjoy it but would not be recommended four young kids,

It definitely looks NOTHING like how it is on Instagram and TikTok lol. We did our bamboo rafting at White River since it was closest to the port in Ocho Rios and I honestly can not fully recommend it. The area where you board is dirty, there are stray animals walking around everywhere, and the captains are hand fishing in the water, gutting and cleaning fish right there. There are little food stands there too so I’m assuming this is the fish to be served to patrons? (I hope not). The raft seats were very beaten and not very clean. Also the River is very short and it gets congested real quick. Most of the time is spent sitting at the end of the route where they encourage you to do the tire swing or jump into the water. We didn’t want to do any of that so we just sat and listened to music and drank rum punch. One person out of the group got on the swing and she liked it. I was very skeptical about even doing the activity but once we got the rum punch in our systems I relaxed more and everything started to appear more serene and beautiful like I imagined it would be. So my suggestion is to get some drinks in you first or have low expectations if you go to White River lol also do NOT get the rum punch at the first stop they take you to in the middle. It’s not very strong and not worth the cost. Plus it just looks dirty to me. Get your punch at one of the places at the end where they give you the zero proof rum punch with lots of RUM! The captains were pretty ok. It depends on Which one you get. They all have speakers and you can connect your phone to it if you don’t want to listen to what they play.

I thoroughly enjoyed my first rafting experience. My tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The river water was calm and cool. The entire tour took 1 hr and there were many opportunities to take photos. I paid for the tour at the front desk of Kaz Kreol Beach Resort. Rafting was a great adventure.

We took the White River raft ride while staying at the Jamaica Inn in Ocho Rios and had a great experience with our driver/guide, Tristan. This is a gentle ride down the river on a bamboo raft with a stopping point at a craft stand just past the halfway point. We picked up several hand made items there for friends back home.
We learned that Tristan's recently departed grandmother was one of Jamaica Inn's room keepers 26 years ago on our honeymoon. We actually recognized her picture when we went back to the hotel.
Well worth the ride.

In Jamaica for the holidays, and were hoping this would make for a relaxing morning. It did not disappoint! Yes there are a few small rapids but easily handled by all of us including our three kids (9 to 18). Our guides Kevin and Devin had us laughing the whole trip down the river. They were helpful and attentive and kept an especially close eye on the smaller ones. Would do this again in a heartbeat.

It was part two of our excursion, the river was very clear and very refreshing. The guides were there to help anyone who needed. There were two bars in the middle of the river, they sold Red Stripe Beer and Rum Punch. It was worth the 90 minute ride from Falmouth.

My family and I went river tubing down the white river and we had a blast! Such a fun and beautiful experience. Our tour guide was Kevon. He was extremely friendly and did a great job of keeping us together during the whole time.
