I got married at Laughing Waters last year. I have to say, the place was absolutely breath taking. The beach was beautiful, we had access to the guest house, which was also beautiful. The thing that I like best was that the beach is very private, I was able to enjoy my day with privacy.

I have been going to Laughing Waters since the early 1960s, when most of Jamaica was still pristine. Today this tranquil, quaint, haunting little spot, may be all that's left of natural Jamaica. Throughout the heat drunken summers of the 70s and 80s, with its forever balmy breezes, bubbling falls, and rustling leaves, Laughing Waters was my oasis in time and... More

If you like a long stretch of remote beach for barefoot walking, clear ocean swimming, scenic turbulent waterfalls, photographing awesome nature at it's best, untouched, this is the place to be. This land has been "protected" from tourists and locals entering, which is sad, but also why it is well-preserved. There are plans to destroy this area to build yet... More

Not open to the public, so couldn't see it. If you want to rent the property, it's yours to see. But we're had our own private beach, so we didn't bother.

Early in the morning we got a chap called Linton to take us along the coast to Laughing Waters by boat. We passed by endless empty beaches and forested coastline, apparently the setting for quite a few James Bond films - it's certainly easy to imagine Ursula Andress emerging from the waves. At the mouth of the river there is... More

We held our wedding reception on the upper lawn of laughing waters. It was FANTASTIC. This property is so beautiful and the beach is untouched. The waterfall runs along the side of the property and empties into the water. It is magnificent. If you have time to go there while vacationing I would.

We hiked here from our rental home. It was peaceful and very quiet. The falls were beautiful. It was a great alternative to the crazy busy Dunn's River Falls. I don't like crowds so this really was perfect for me.

We took a small local boat to visit laughing water passing duns river falls on the way. It was very quiet no one else was there except a security guard as the land I believe belongs to the government. We spent half an hour sitting in the water at the bottom of the falls and on he beach taking some... More

We went to Laughing Waters not knowing exactly what to expect and were wowed by it. Though a smaller waterfall, it dumps into the ocean and creates an interesting layer effect. But the views were incredible. A must see.

the is one of the most beautiful spots in Jamaica. You have to either rent the villa, be VERY connected or visit by boat. I speak to the river coming down to the sea as one of the best beach areas in the island but you are not allowed to go up onto the beach but no one can stop... More
