My family has been going to J for years now! This was my first time to Jamaica. My wife and i were there for our honeymoon. My cousin gave me J's info and i contacted him through Instagram. He responded right away and asked me what we wanted to do. He picked us up out front of our hotel and took us to the Dunn's River Falls, his neighborhood fish fry for lunch, the bamboo river rafting, and then to some local stores to shop. We had a great time, awesome conversations, and made friends along the way. We highly recommend J at KnownJamcaicaTours! Thank you so much J for a great day and showing us around Jamaica!

Javia and Marva are so professional and they make it their duty to offer an authentic experience. The food that they led us too was fantastic and we were able to see authentic parts of Jamaica

I am one of those persons that likes to do a lot research before taking a trip or booking a tour. I spent a considerable amount of time finding a tour company that was affordable and that made me feel safe while abroad. Googling tour companies in Jamaica I came across knowJamaicatours and looking into their Facebook page and reviews I found a nothing but good reviews and comments. I booked transportation from the airport to our hotel and also a private our. From day one when they picked us up at the airport they were very attentive and made us feel very welcome. The entire Drive to the Hotel, Jay, our tour guide, kept on giving us information about Jamaica which we loved. He also was kind enough to make a quick stop to buy some refreshments for the road. Jay, was very punctual in picking us up for our tour day, We never felt the rush in our activities it was a very pleasant experience. One of the things that I really liked was that it is a family owned business, Jay’s mom Was our itinerary organizer and she was always available I and very prompt to respond to my emails. It’s time to go back to Jamaica I will definitely be booking with them again.

This is my 3rd trip to Jamaica that we have booked our excursions with Javia Shaw at Know Jamaica Tours. Our first year we didn’t know any better and booked most of our excursions off resort with apple on the resort except for one full day trip to Kingston with Javia. After that first year, we have booked all of our excursions with him, because of the superior experience we receive! The prices are extremely reasonable and worth every penny. Any excursion we have ever wanted to do they have made happen for us and they are great with providing suggestions that we might want to try. We are no longer exploring with a stranger or even a friend. It now feels like we are exploring the island with family! This year, we spend 4 of our 7 days off the resort with Javia on our family vacation (3 couple, a 5 year old, and a 20 month year old). Our first day, Javia arranged to take us to 3 local schools in the area who were having summer classes and could use some assistance. The students in my classes, my family, my fiancé, and I had been collecting school supplies to donate on this trip. We were able to distribute around 150 pounds of supplies to 3 different communities and school, meet students, tour the buildings, and make connections with local teachers so that we can stay in contact to meet other supply needs they have on our next visit. We took a break to eat lunch at the Ocho Rios Jerk Centre before returning to climb Dunn’s River Falls (my second climb but my fiancé’s first). Before going back to the hotel Javia took us by the Jus Coool Puddin’ Man’s shop for some pumpkin and sweet potato pudding. Our second day, Javia picked us up early and drove us to Portland on the East side of the island. We climbed Reach Falls and jumped down the Rabbit Hole. We went to Winnifred beach to swim and snorkel and ate lunch at Cynthia’s on the beach. Our last stop was taking a boat out on Blue Lagoon and to Monkey Island and swimming some more. Javia goes above and beyond continuing to immerse us in the Jamaican culture, food, nature, and history. Every year he finds a way to surprise us by adding his own personal touch to our activities we plan that allows us to learn or taste something new that we hadn’t even thought of. On this trip it was picking a jackfruit for us to try, telling us stories about the island and where pirates used to hide, and adding a stop in Boston Bay (where jerk originated) so we could experience it and some festivals there where it all started. Our third day, we went cliff jumping at the Blue Hole, got ice cream at Devon House, went shopping in downtown Ocho Rios stores and the market, and ate lunch at Scotchies. We got to have a lot of wonderful conversations with wonderful people! Our fourth day out with Javia, was being invited into his family’s home for lunch. We stopped by a local grocery stop for some ice and soda before heading to the house. Javia, Marva, Little Javia, a local cook, and my bother spend much of the afternoon preparing an amazing Jamaican spread! It was the best meal I’ve ever had on the island hands down. Marva even squeezed fresh mango pineapple juice and showed my mom and brother how to make coconut candy. While all the cooking was being done, the rest of us hung out in the living room, visited with his children, played games with them, and I gave his youngest daughter pony rides on my back just like my nephew loves for me to do at home. After lunch, we shared an intense Monopoly game with Little Javia teaching us the Jamaican rules. He was shocked that I beat him! A cookout with our Jamaican family was the best way that we could have spent our last day! The care, hospitality, and attention to detail that Know Jamaica Tours provides truly makes them stand out in the crowd. They are not just a taxi! They take great pride in their industry and building their company. They provide you with more than a ride. They make sure you have a guild and get the FULL experience. Whether you want to explore something close for a few hours or spend an entire day on the opposite side of the island they will make it happen! I never hesitate to recommend them to anyone who asks about our trips to Jamaica. It was sad to tell them goodbye but we can’t wait to start planning our next trip with them!

KnowJamaicaTours provided the BEST experience by going above and beyond during my stay. The entire team was extremely professional, fun and knowledgeable. From the very beginning, I was impressed by the amount of activities such as waterfalls, Bob Marley Museum, Caves, rafting as well as eating different foods and fruits that was offered in the local areas etc. My time spent in Jamaica will forever be memorable, thanks to the greatest team hands down!!!!!! Book with them and you will NOT be disappointed.
