We booked a 2 reef snorkeling tour with Carolyn and are so glad we did! Great communication, punctual for pick up, and such a wonderful person with so much knowledge of Jamaica! So glad we got to know her. Marc and Buckley, who were our captain and guide are awesome guys with the patience of saints for our seasickness and other antics. We had a great private snorkeling adventure, always felt safe, and saw so much. A quick stop off to Scotchies at the end of the day rounded it out perfectly.

By far the BEST snorkelling we have ever done on a Caribbean vacation! This is not a trip where the reef is dead and covered in sand. The reef we snorkelled was healthy, vibrant and full of life. Carolyn is so knowledgeable about the reefs and makes sure you have a wonderful experience! You are not herded around but rather given as much time as you need to explore the reef at your leisure. If you’ve done a snorkelling excursion before and were disappointed then you have to change that experience by going with Barrett Adventures. You will have the best experience! I know that when we go back to Jamaica we will only book with Carolyn and Barrett Adventures! Thanks Carolyn and Mark for a great trip - you’re truly the best!!

Our family had a great time with Carolyn and her crew, Buckley and Mark. It was such a laid back trip and we didn't feel rushed. A larger tour boat arrived over halfway through our stay and left before us too. We really loved being the only ones on the boat and it was much more personal. Carolyn had everything we needed and plenty of beverages! We would definitely book another adventure with her and her crew. Absolutely fantastic!!

From start to finish a top-notch experience and company!! Great communication with booking, transfers to/from the marina, excellent crew on board with Marc and Buckley, getting to meet Carolyn and learning about Jamaica!! The snorkeling was excellent and we were able to take our time. We were so impressed we booked the boat immediately for the next day!! Carolyn is a treasure and if you have the opportunity to meet her, do it!! Thank you Carolyn, Marc and Buckley!!

We wanted to do a private boat half day for a group of 10 including a toddler . Upon contacting Carolyn, she was quick to answer and provided all the info needed. Even before paying the deposit she had reserved the date we wanted. The driver came on time to pick us up at the hotel and even though we were a bit late, he waited for us. When we got to the port, we were not rushed. When we got to the boat, we wanted to do a gender reveal and she was more than happy to let us do it. The few of us who went snorkeling were more than delighted and said it was the best snorkeling they have done as Carolyn is very knowledgeable and loves what she does and she took her time. Sailing back was also enjoyable as she was showing us part of Montego from the sea. Would strongly recommend.

We had an amazing snorkeling and sailing trip with Carolyn and Buckley. The trip was part of a 60th birthday visit to Jamaica and it was the highlight.
Carolyn is very knowledgeable about the reef, the flora and fauna and the area.
Without doubt we all agreed that it was the best snorkeling we had ever experienced and as for the sailing ..... I run out of superlatives to describe how fabulous it was. It is a memory that will stay in my head and my heart for ever.

Carolyn and her crewman Buckley gave us a sailing experience that eclipsed the whole rest of our beautiful Jamaican stay. Imagine personal door-to-door transport and expert care by a life-long sailor with spirited personality to spare! It was the ultimate luxury. Carolyn knows all of the best snorkeling spots that you could never discover on a crowded, resort excursion. And she tailored our day to our desires for seeing and hearing all about Montego Bay. It was so much more than we could have imagined—worth every penny. We will never forget it!

Carolyn helped organize our snorkeling trip for us and we had the most amazing time with two of her crew. It was just my husband and myself. The boat was beautiful, scenery amazing, and snorkeling was top notch. We stayed as long as we wanted, had an amazing guide snorkeling with us to point out the wonders of the reef, and enjoyed delicious beverages on the boat. Pick up from our resort was also so easy. We had a fantastic day. Book now with Barrett Adventures!

Had another great day out on a beautiful sailboat. Very professional staff. Second time on this adventure. So much fun. Snorkeling was amazing. Will do this every time we are in Jamaica. Bobby, Buckley and Mark made the trip super fun.

Carolyn is amazing! So happy that we booked our snorkeling adventure with her. My husband and I were the only two on her boat and we really had a one-on-one guide as we snorkeled over the coral reef and swam through and over the fish. Incredible! She is so knowledgeable about not only the fish and coral reef, but about the history of Jamaica. Our snorkel excursion was the highlight of our trip!!

We want to go from Cuba to Jamaica but would prefer not to fly if possible. Barrett Adventures name keeps popping up when this question is asked. Can you help and how expensive it this?

Sorry I’m just now replying, I would say it’s very difficult to get on and off the boat. It was amazing idk if they do short guided tours. It’s very hard to walk around once your on the boat. I hope this helps and it not to late! It was wonderful tour honestly we spent 6 hours on the sailboat.

Hello, I would like to hitch a ride to Jamaica from South Florida on a boat, then come back a week or two later. Is this something you can assist with? I can't fly. I can take a cruise with Carnival or what not, but I don't like the dates of travel and I want to spend more than half a day in Jamaica.

I have a feeling that you have no idea what you are asking for. A sailing charter would cost you $5000 per week. it would take us a week to sail to Florida, as week to sail back and the same with the return. I doubt you want to pay $20,000USD to avoid flying.

We did a trip up the blue mountains and a trip to Negril. Both were fantastic days!!

I'm planning a trip to Jamaica next week, I am almost considering canceling it because of all the scary reviews I've read. Many people seem to think it is very unsafe. I am in mid 20's and will be traveling with my sister who is also in 20's. Did you guys have any bad experiences while on your trip? Is it really unsafe?

You'll be fine! The Jamaican people are generally very friendly. Use common sense (like staying out of obviously dangerous areas or travelling alone at night) just like you would in any place away from home and you'll be fine.
