Lindsay and Lisa were wonderful. We reached out to them to assist us with a Private Catamaran Pre-Wedding party for our son's wedding. They planned the perfect evening for our event for 50 people. They picked us up from Hilton Rose Hall in a beautiful bus and drove us and our guests to a pier in town to board the catamaran. What a wonderful experience. They helped us with the menu and drinks and the entire crew were professional and courteous. We so appreciate the time and energy spent to ensure our evening was a fabulous experience enjoyed by ourselves and all of our guests.g Upon return to the pier after sunset, the bus was waiting for us to drive us back to our resort. The driver was awesome and Lindsay and Lisa were personally there to ensure all went as smooth as possible. I can not tell you what a great job they did from start to finish. The catamaran party was the highlight of a wonderful wedding weekend, thanks to SNL Jamaican Tours Lindsay and Lisa!

After disastrous experiences with other tour operators in Jamaica, I was skeptical about SNL Jamaican Tours. However, this is a truly professional company. The company kept in communication with me when the tour I was scheduled for was going to be cancelled due to low numbers. They gave me the option to do a private tour, which I did. The tour itself was excellent, and the guide was equally excellent who knew a lot of information.

The scenery is beautiful. The driver made the long drive entertaining and all 4 of us had a great day. Half a star deduction explained below.

Bring good water shoes you can hike in and know your adrenaline will be flowing the whole trip.

We were picked up promptly 8:30 from our resort by Marlon. There were 8 guests on the trip, half of them booked the blue hole, secret falls, and dunns river. Our group of 4 booked the blue hole, falls and shopping instead as we'd read reviews of Dunns being very crowded.

Marlon gave us trivia on Jamaica and had us laughing the whole way there and back.

We pulled up to the Blue hole and were handed off to the guys taking us on the excursion.

Do be aware that everyone you meet along the way will try to sell you something. They will take pics for you for $40. I brought a waterproof camera, but we still bought the pics. They were good shots. You can also buy beers along your hike for $5. ehh .. when in rome!

Ok back to the review. Blue hole was gorgeous, probably 20 ish steps down from the driveway to blue hole. They take a group pic then one by one tell you to jump from a rock ledge in. The first jump starts the adrenaline, and it doest stop the whole time you are there. You jump about half a dozen times into the blue hole, swim to a little cave, take a few pics, take a few couples pics out of the water then they guide you on to the secret falls.

The hike to the falls is pretty easy. A few wet areas and big steps for short people.

You get to one of the larger falls sections and jump off a smaller ledge in, do some more climbing. Take some fun couples pics, and the jumps off the rock ledges start again. Couples jump, singles jump, rope swing jump, cannonball jump, more single jumps. You basically jump into water the whole way back down. Then you get to a high ledge jump. Ya think that's the grand finale but nope! another jump after that. All in all, great fun, but several of us had shaky legs most of the trip, not from the cold, but the adrenaline.

We stopped at the medicine man for some pics and some folks got brownies. Fun guy!

The half star deduction comes from the shopping and food. Because it was a mixed group, Marlon did not take us to Scotchies (which we were very excited to go to) as it wasn't on the way. Instead we went to one of Usain bolt's restaurants. The jerk chicken was terrible, so dry you couldn't eat it. After he dropped us off he took the rest of the group to Dunns river.

When we picked up the other couples from Dunns River, it was VERY crowded.

Full day Dunn’s river& Blue hole. The day before excursion it was raining badly so I sent an email asking if we are still good for the excursion &they replied “yes”. The day of the excursion the driver came 40min late& said the tour guide is not coming. After Dunn’s river, he drove us all the way in very tough road to blue hole &when we arrived there, we were the only tourist bus as the manager in blue hole said because of the rain, the blue hole is closed as it’s all full of mud&that companies must have been aware. The driver was shocked, he said its miscommunication from his company side that they didn’t take time to check after the bad rain the day before. when I reported the issue as I was leaving Jamaica on Friday and this was Tuesday so I still wanted to go to blue hole, I got a reply from a manager, her name is Natalia that was totally unprofessional. She is telling me that when I asked the day before about the tour my question was general &I didn’t specify the weather which is so pathetic, like I am not sure what she was thinking before writing her note. I told her I am leaving Friday &she answered offering me the blue hole excursion on Saturday when I am back home which shows that she doesn’t even read or knows what she is talking about. The company did a big mistake by not checking or they checked& were aware blue hole is closed but wanted to take our money. Everyone in the tour was upset. They refused to give money back for part of the excursion which is half of it

Dear Customer, Thanks for booking with us! We do sympathize with you and the experience you had on the day of your tour. It is not a normal experience but it put us in a very uncomfortable situation when our customers have less than normal experiences. Jamaica is the third largest tropical island in the Caribbean. It could be dry one moment but by the time you leave Montego Bay and arrive in Ocho Rios one and a half hours later there is a storm. It could also be sunny at Dunns River and by the time you get to Blue Hole in the mountains 15 minutes later it is storming. Unfortunately that situation is out of our hands. If the Blue Hole management contact us early enough with the information we can make adjustments where necessary. Your question the day before was "Are we all set for tour tomorrow?" The answer was yes you are all set to go. Once again, we regret the bad experience and are doing everything we can to prevent similar experiences in the future. Kind regards, Natalia McFarlane Manager

My wife and I took this tour figuring hey, we're in Jamaica, we should visit the birthplace and final resting spot of Jamaica's most famous citizen. The bus trip up the mountain was an experience in itself: pouring rain and a 'road' that was narrow, partially paved, and heart-stopping. The countryside is beautiful, even in rain, but seeing the way that average Jamaicans live was sobering.
There was a guide on the bus who spoke for pretty much the entire ride in - he was entertaining and informative. And he sipped a home-brewed tea from a plastic water bottle (more on that later).
Upon arrival in Marley's village of Nine Mile, the bus stopped just short of the Marley Compound. We were told that another group needed to leave before there was room for us, and we were invited to disembark. This is where the scam part comes in. We got off the bus and entered a one-room concrete building, where three locals greeted us with a variety of local marijuana products. Pre-rolled joints, small plastic bags of loose pot, and even chocolate cake with marijuana added. And tea like the guide was drinking - a brew of local herbs infused with marijuana. The joints and cake were $20 each, the bags of loose pot were $50. Knowing a bit about this sort of thing, I can tell you that these items were a.) overpriced and b.) terrible quality. And if you bought one thing, there was immediate pressure to buy more. They took orders for the tea, which was brewed while we toured - again, $20.
We eventually were able to continue on to the compound itself. A different guide took over from there. he smelled of beer and had the annoying habit of breaking in to Bob Marley songs spontaneously when he couldn't think of anything else to say. The tour itself was interesting enough, but it just felt like the primary objective was to get as many dollars out of the hands of visitors as possible. I'm not necessarily surprised by that, since that's the objective of most tourist spots, but here it just felt so blatant. Even the gift shops (there were two) filled with all the usual junk, were priced 20-30% higher than anywhere else.
I need to say that at no point did we feel threatened, or in danger. Just used. So, if you're a Bob Marley fan, or want to learn about what his life was really like, take the tour. And if you want to have the experience of smoking a joint in his backyard, pay the $20. But buyer beware.

I was trying to choose between this place and Dunn's falls and ended up picking this place as I read it was less popular. Well, let me tell ya, this place was hectic and extremely busy.

There was no time for swimming, the whole thing was basically, climb up some rocks, wait in a long long line and jump/swing and repeat. Oh wait, I forgot .... photos.

I wanted to take my phone which was in a waterproof pouch, but they wouldn't let me! I felt that I was scammed into buying their photos of us.

I wanted something peaceful and relaxing with some fun adventure jumping off cliffs and swinging on ropes. This was not it. I felt rushed the whole time, didn't even get to stop and take in the sights. The whole experience seems like 'okay, lets get some photos' not lets have fun swimming around and jump as much as you want.

There was just toooo many people and I would not wish this experience on anyone, however it was beautiful.

The falls are cool and its a fun hike. The water is very cold. At the end when you go to exit they make you walk through this long path with a bunch of Jamaican's trying to get you to buy tourist crap, we kept saying no. One guy tried to be friendly and asked our names, he than carved our names into some crap and made us buy it. If they didn't have all the tourist crap at the end I'd give it 5 stars.

First of all, our guide and driver was phantastic and deserves 5 stars. Dunn river falls: be prepared to climb up several cascades. 2 people fell and hurt themselves. View and surroundings are mindblowing, but be aware of the risks. Blue Hole and Secret Waters is at one place. I did not like it too much. The environment is very beautiful, though. Upon arrival, the local guides asked us to put our name on and sign a blank paper without any further explanation. When I turned the paper around, it was an exclusion of liability stating that there could be death and paralysis and we agree to take all risk and have been informed about this) which we were supposed to be signing unknowingly. That is a no-go! Be prepared to also climb up a small waterfall and jump several times. If you have Dunn River, you need not do this as it is the same.

My wife and I shopped around for a tour guide to get from our hotel in Montego Bay to Nine Mile. We ended up with a local driver who grew up in the area and worked at our resort. He was very knowledgeable and stopped along the way for photos. The road to Nine Mile is... quite the experience. Potholes are feet deep and the roads are not wide enough for one car, let alone two. However, there is beautiful scenery on the ride up the mountain and it gives a sense of what the “real Jamaica” is like outside of the resorts. Along the way, we passed Bob Marley’s school that he attended as a child as well as the house he built after reaching his fortune and fame.

Upon arrival at the compound, our guide was greeted by locals who seemed to know him. He dropped us off while he parked the car down the hill inside the compound. Be aware, when you first arrive you will be hounded to buy marijuana from various sellers. I made the mistake and brought a huge joint for $1700 Jamaican. Unless you an amateur smoker or just want to donate to the Marley friends and family, DO NOT BUY THE MARIJUANA!! It is, in my opinion, trash. We paid $50 USD for the both of us for admission to the museum, which if you go with a group that cost is somewhat absorbed within the transportation. As we entered, marijuana smoking was encouraged and various people throughout the tour will offer to sell it to anyone looking to buy.

The mausoleum itself is enriched in history. Bob’s grandparents, mother, and himself are all buried onsite. It is definitely a place to go if you are a Bob marley fan or even if just in Mobay or anywhere within three to four hours of the museum. Our guide insisted that it was much better than the museum in Kingston, however, on our next trip, we will see. Overall, it’s definitely an experience you must see for yourself!

My husband and I took this tour to Nine Mile to visit the birthplace and resting place of the legendary Bob Marley. If you are a fan, we highly recommend you go. The drive from Montego Bay is long but it is a beautiful drive into the mountains and through small towns in Jamaica giving you an idea of life outside of the tourist areas. Once you arrive at Nine Mile, you have the option of purchasing items that you may utilize throughout the tour. The tour gives you a nice look at the life of Bob Marley and where he was born. The Rastafarian that gave us our tour was very knowledgable and had a lot of stories about the legend and we did learn a lot. After a walk through rooms filled with memorabilia and the house where he was born, you head up to Mt. Zion, where Bob Marley and his mother are buried. You also have the opportunity to lay your head on the same rock where some of his most popular songs were composed. There are also gift shops and a restaurant on site as well. And of course, Bob's music is played!!! On our way back to our resort, we stopped at a picturesque restaurant and had a descent Jamaican meal! Like I already said, if you are a fan, go!
