Fabulous week with Shamar

our week started with Shamar picking us up from the airport. She was waiting right where it said she would b with a sign with our name on it. 2 members of our group of 8 were stuck in a long line at customs and she assured me it was no problem she would just wait for us until we were all ready, Shamar also drove us on our 2 day trips ( Dunn’s River falls and a day in Negril at Magaritaville and Ricks cafe) As she drove us she gave us facts and interesting commentary on the areas we were visiting, She took pictures for us and we genuinely enjoyed spending our days with her! Shamar was always on time, allowed us to do things in our own time frame ( unlike bus tours) and we always felt safe when she was at the wheel! We would HIGHLY recommend using this family owned company!

Indeed! A big thanks to you and your awesome family for trusting me and allowing me to being your driver and fulfilling quite a few things that Jamaica has to offer. Each day and trip with you guys was wonderful and definitely unforgettable. I am happy you are pleased and that you had the best times in Jamaica. Those pictures are saved as ‘favorites’ in my phone. Best Vacation ever...with the best guide ever

We spent the week in Montego Bay but got to see much of the island thanks to Shamar. We had DJF booked to take us to and from the airport but during the ride to the hotel she informed us that she could help us with tours and transportation just about anywhere. We decided to take her up on it and for the next 5 days she was at our disposal to book our tours and take us to many of the fabulous places on this beautiful island! We went to Margaritaville and Ricks in Negril, went Shopping in Montego Bay, got to eat at Scotchies (so good) , and went Ziplining and Tubing in Ocho Rios. She not only made the trips to and from the excursions memorable and fun, but was the sweetest, kindest, and most personable person we have ever met on an island vacation. She truly loves her home, and wants to share the best of it with people who come to visit. You will learn much more than you ever thought you would with her. Jamaica is a wonderful place that me, my teenage daughter, and my girlfriend all fell in love with thanks to Shamar. Anyone who writes a bad review about this company, this guide, or this island must not be a very happy or easy to please person! We loved it....thanks Shamar for becoming part of the family!! I'd highly recommend giving them the opportunity to make your family's vacation as special as ours.

Awesome travel experience in Jamaica

Mark took us from Montego Bay to Negril, Rick’s Cafe. The whole trip was filled with sightseeing and knowledge of Jamaica! We even stopped to get beef patties! Mark waited for us the whole time we enjoyed Rick’s Cafe and returned us to our resort safely. Mark’s daughter drove us to the airport to return home, she was equally just as wonderful! Great people with clean, reliable transportation.

Amazing service

Great people! They were there ready for us when we arrived and then picked us up at the exact time they said. The bus transfer left 45 minutes before us going back and we arrived at the same time.
Shamar and Mark were so super friendly!

What a Gem

Hooking up with Mark, and his services, made our trip even more amazing. He is part tour guide, security, chaperone, and an excellent driver. He worked with our schedule, made any stop we requested and was amazing from start to finish. Highly highly recommend Mark!

SCAM/ FRAUD! DO NOT BOOK! Horrible Scammers doing business under the company’s name!

What ever you do, DO NOT BOOK with this company. It’s fraud! The “owner” is doing business under “Martha Brae’s name. Basically you will be paying for the car ride alone there then u will have to pay an additional $77 for the actual rafting. The guy is super rude and disrespectful. He ruined our entire trip to Jamaica! He charges us $160 just for a ride less than 30 mins away. Not to mention we took a different ride which was 1.5 hours long for less than that price. You have been warned! DO NOT BOOK this under any circumstances! We were scammed and I would hate for anyone else to go through that.

These three ladies were indeed the ones that were rude. When they arrived at the rafting village they were suppose to pay for their own rafts and they refused even when it was pointed out that what they paid was only transportation. This note is printed in bold letters on the reservation under inclusions and exclusions. Under inclusions is stated ;TRANSPORTATION ONLY and under exclusion it states that ENTRANCE COST is not included. So, they did not take the time to peruse what they booked and now they are giving us a bad rap for their own mistake. They said they paid $160.00, and three adults cannot ride on one rafts so they would have to get two rafts . At $77.00 per rafts which holds two persons the total cost is $154.00. From their hotel the ride is 45 minutes one way and a total of ninety minutes for the round trip. So, if they think that the cost they paid included the raft rides, then this means that for a ninety minutes ride to the excursion all we would be paid is $6.00. These ladies were very very disrespectful to my driver and me because they wanted a full refund and we were not able to do that.

What is not to love?

Do yourself a favor when traveling outside of the Montego Bay area. The shuttles offered in your package might be convenient because they are included, but you need to stop at several hotels along the way. By using Di Jamaican Flava, you are saving yourself the aggravation of spending more time on a shuttle and dealing with other travelers. The prices are very reasonable, but the most important thing for you to know is your driver will be great. We have had Mark as our driver on two separate vacations and he has made our trips wonderful. Not only is he kind and funny, he is a terrific tour guide that know so much about the island and the culture of Jamaica. He is an absolute gem and we cannot wait to return some day soon. This is a safe and reliable company to deal with and I think you will be very happy with your choice. We will certainly be requesting Mark as our driver because now he is also considered a dear friend.

SHAMAR IS THE BEST!
This was the highlight of our trip! We saved this tour for our last day since it was a full day thing and let’s just say we truly saved the best for last. Which I kinda regret seeing as that I wish we had booked ALL of our tours through this company. Shamar was absolutely perfect from start to finish! She was so informative on our tour. I feel like we learned so much while having the time of our lives. We even learned some Patois! A tiny amount lol but still! We ate the some amazing food along the way. Oxtails included’ The drive was very scenic and beautiful and Shamar made sure to tell us all about the country’s culture and history. We made it to 7 mile beach first and had a blast in and out of the water. We ate, drank, participated in some water activities and enjoyed the warm ocean waters which felt amazing. 7 mile beach is TRULY beautiful. We then headed to Rick’s Cafe which surpasses our expectations. Shamar stayed close by to help us with anything we needed and she got the best angles for us when it came to taking pictures! Shamar made us feel so safe and so welcomed which was very important to us being that we were a small group traveling alone. By the end of this tour, Shamar felt more like family than anything else. We had such an amazing time, saying goodbye was hard. We’ve been telling everybody that has asked about our trip about Shamar and this company! I can’t wait to return! She’ll will be the first one we call!

Safe, Friendly and Dependable Private Transfer Service

Mark and his team are awesome. This family run business runs a smooth, friendly and timely operation. Mark picked us (all 5 of us) up at the Sangster Montego Bay Airport on February 2 and waited for us as our plane was an hour late. His vehicle is spotless and the air conditioning was appreciated. He collected our luggage with a smile and was happy to discuss Jamaica and everything that is going on in this beautiful country. On our return Mark picked us and our luggage up at the Royalton Negril Hotel, after a great week, and drove us diligently and respectfully to the Sangster Montego Bay Airport for our flight home. While others on Sunwing left at 4 pm and made several stops, we enjoyed 2 more hours of sunshine and had a much more relaxed drive to the airport. Thank you Mark and team for a safe and friendly experience.

Our flight was delayed an hour but Shamar was right where we expected to find her with our name on a sign. So glad we did this, as there were a large number of drivers trying to get riders, and the reviews convinced me this lady could be trusted. Turns out it’s a daughter-dad team, dad picked us up for the return trip. Timely, professional, courteous. Telephone/text 876-4563308.
