Having researched tourist activities in Jamaica, this was high on our list of things to do. We arrived on a warm afternoon having visited Rose Hall in the morning. We were very pleased with the friendliness of the staff throughout the attraction, from purchasing the ticket to our Raft Captain who was full of information as we rafted down the... More

We went on the raft at Martha Brae river and spent a calm, peaceful and enjoyable hour being pushed down the river by our guide Looking up into the green canopy seeking out the different birds and trailing our feet in the cool waters as we listened to some of the information passed on to us by our guide. Yes... More

A great ride down the Martha Brae!! We loved our Captain Jamie, he gave us a lot of good advice. The people selling stuff on the side of the riverbank were not to pushy but they did yell out and ask us to stop and look. Captain Jamie pointed out so many natural plants and explained certain things to us.... More

We drifted slowly down the river as our raft captain highlighted some of the native plants. We were not pushed into having a conversation with the captain, and we could just sit back and enjoy the scenery. The sellers on the banks weren't pushy and a simple no thanks is enough, although they were relatively few in August anyway. Worth... More

A "must" on the list of things to do in Jamaica!! I was nervous taking a teenager on this excursion but we both enjoyed it! Jamesson was our the guide, and if you request him, you will not be sorry!! He was full of information as we went down the river, and was a pleasure to have as a guide!!!

Nice experience rafting down a river with kids. Very relaxing, birdsongs, our guide singing "Jamaica Farewell". Takes about an hour. Worth it.

If you want to slow down little bit while in Jamaica the Martha Brae River bamboo ride is what you should experience. It is a 3 mile relaxing ride on a bamboo boat down a peaceful water way with the raft captain explaining Jamaica as you take in all its beauty.

We went for a ride on the Martha Brae the other day. They take you into an area to buy tickets and you're immediately approached by vendors with tshirts, towels, etc. Lots of pressure. They tell you that your ticket comes with a "free rum punch" which is actually non-alcoholic and you have to pay for the RUM. And its... More
