Great Trip!

Once again Major 1 Tours took great care of us. For 3 years in a row we've used Derron exclusively for our family's vacation transportation needs. This trip we a a group of 8 of us. From the Airport transfers (including a stop at the local grocery store) to a day trip of river tubing and horse back riding Derron made sure we had a great time and at a much better price than the "Tour Desk". Derron's personal touch is what make's the difference. I have recommended him to many of our friends with confidence. He treats you as a friend not just a customer with each thing you do.

Great airport transportation

We used Major 1 for roundtrip transport from the Montego Bay airport to our resort. The price was great, email communication was very fast and clear, cars were clean, spacious, air conditioned and on time. Our drivers both ways were so nice -we even got some great cooking tips for making authentic Jamaican rice on our trip back to the airport : ) Would definitely recommend!

Excellent and Efficient Airport Transfers

What can I say, Major 1 tours was great! They were there promptly for our group's arrival at the airport (group of 4) and could handle two separate departure dates with ease and at a good price! Marlon and Derron each provided great facts and trivia about Jamaica during their respective transfers. Also, the welcome beverage was much appreciated on arrival.I will definitely be using them next time I am in Montego Bay!

On time private transportation with drivers that are friendly and knowledgeable.

We had a large group (10) of travelers arriving in Montego Bay Jamaica for 9 days over the Christmas holiday. We had eight people traveling on one day, two people coming in three days later and the group of ten of us flying back together. I was able to arrange transportation for everyone and Major 1 gave me a very competitive price.

We booked Major1 for our roundtrip airport transfer to Excellence Oyster Bay. Email communication was very good and he always responded to my questions in a timely manner. Darron was waiting for us at the airport holding a sign with our name on it. He was very professional and chatted with us the entire drive to our resort. We each received a complimentary Red Stripe, which we enjoyed very much after our very long flight. We really appreciated the friendly and welcoming experience and even learned some history about the island. The vehicles are spotless and the A/C worked great. When it was time to go home, Darron arrived at the exact time he said he would, almost down to the second, very prompt!
I would encourage booking with Major1 tours to anyone looking for a recommendation. My parents visited Jamaica for the first time a few months ago and booked with Major1, they loved Marlon and will book with them again next time. Thank you Darron for providing excellent customer service!

Vacation August 2020

Derron with Major 1 Tours was our driver to and from
the Montego Bay airport for vacation. He was on time, courteous, reasonably priced, and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived in Jamaica. Alex with Major 1 Tours drove us around to various tourist attractions two days out of our trip. He gave us an awesome tour of Negril and gave us some history, took us to Blue Hole, Rick’s Cafe, and Margaritaville, just to name a few. He also introduced us to the famous beef and chicken patties. I can’t say enough good about this company. Both Derron and Alex were fantastic and I would recommend them for any transportation while in Jamaica. Thanks again guys for a great trip! :) Yeah mon! 💚🖤💛

Great transport experience

Clive and Derron were great for our private transport. Clive welcomed my Girlfriend and I with Red Stripes we wouldn’t be able to get at our resort. He also gave us a bit of a welcome history lesson on some of the scenery on the way to our destination. We even stopped to have some authentic Jamaican patties. Upon check out Derron was punctual and we also received a bit of a history lesson and pointed out the abundance of fruits Jamaica produces. He referred other resorts for when we come back. We also stopped for authentic Jamaican patties as well. We had to! I would definitely recommend Major 1 tours to visitors and will use them again upon my return!

Two tours, ok experience

We took two tours with major one. The first one was the Rastafari tour, the second was the bamboo river rafting . The Rastafari tour was good. We drove doom buggy‘s, visited a weed farm, swam in a natural mineral Spring and we’re fed lunch. They gave us a vegetarian/vegan lunch which I really didn’t understand. I really would’ve preferred some authentic jerk chicken or something more related to Jamaican culture. The lunch was OK but I didn’t really understand why they emphasized vegan. Quite frankly, I thought the tour was incredibly overpriced but the tour guides were very informative and nice. The second tour was the Lethe River bamboo rafting. I was really disappointed in this excursion. They floated us barely an 1/8 of a mile, massaged my feet and then stopped at some lady on the side of the river to have us buy some trinkets. We spent more time waiting and standing around then floating down the river. I don’t think I would do this again or maybe try rafting down Martha brae instead.

Trustworthy, safe and punctual -- from a solo female traveler to Jamaica

I was traveling solo for the first time and oddly nervous about my arrival at the airport. But thanks to Derron, I felt completely at ease. When I got my luggage and walked out of the airport, I said "Major 1" then located the contact with my name on a signboard and she then waited with me for my car to arrive.

Derron was professional, punctual and really nice. I highly recommend using Major 1 as a shuttle service to/from the airport.

He also mentioned several tours that they offer, but I was far too lazy during my trip to partake. I'll def book with them on my return trip to Jamaica!

Great service and company

Used them for my round trip service to my resort. Our driver had cold beers in the van waiting on us. My girlfriend need to stop to get a couple things so our guide took us to the store and we got everything we needed. He educated us on history of the island, culture and the economy. If your looking for a safe, good priced, comfortable and entertaining guide of transfer choose major tours they are amazing. And tip them they deserve it!
