The campus al MONA of the University of West Indies is a place to visit while in Kingston. The campus is large, beautiful, with plenty of trees and works of art (sculptures and murals), in the middle of a natural reserve. Within the campus, the Papine-Mona Aqueduct, built by Thomas Hope Elleston in 1758, is a fine example of civil engineering from the 18th century and once served the Hope, Mona and Papine Estates with water from the Hope River. Large sections of the aqueduct as well as the the brick and cut-stone remains of the aqueduct sugar works of Papine Estate (which ended production in 1880) are inside the campus. Each faculty has its own premises spread all over the campus.

Very picturesque views. Top quality educational programmes and facilities, especially in the faculties of Law and Medical sciences. The teaching staff is quite knowledgeable and willing to assist. However, the administrative staff makes little effort to assist in a timely manner and make no effort to communicate with other departments in order to assist in resolving issues that may arise.

It is one of the best universities in Caribbean region. It also provides spacious campus. The library provides a wide range of books. Medical University in UWI (Mona) is well-reputed.

Big campus with lots of green space; small bookstore mostly carrying locally published books and with a gifts section; very highly ranked university with great researchers.

The campus is massive and quite picturesque. The campus is ideal for weddings and wedding pictures. I'm fact, there is a chapel located on campus.
Additionally, the faculties are awesome. Nobody goes to uwi and leaves the same person.

I stayed with my cousin for my annual holiday to Kingston.
Spent some time here whilst waiting for cousin to do some work.
Looking around the grounds I stumbled across a Mango Tree, there were some mangos on the ground, felt peckish so ate 2 they tasted o.k not realizing they were for research and not for consumption! we had a good laughed at that.

Stayed at the Mona campus for several weeks--beautiful, convenient, affordable, excellent housekeeping and fun to be among the college students.

The campus of the University of the West Indes - Mona is one of the treasures of Caribbean learning. Also, thou, you can visit a number of the historical elements of the campus. The former Mona plantation has a few buildings and structures from that era.

the University of the West Indie is the premier higher education center for the area. The campus is open to visitors to view the facilities, like where Usain Bolt trains, the gardens, and the colonial era facilities.
