Sunday Beach time is good @ Fort Clarence because there is crowd control, ample secure parking,, Life Guards on duty., a mix of sunny & shady areas to relax.. at times the washed up sea weeds are plentiful.. but Marie's ( last Fish Stop located furthest left side of the Beach ) succulent fried fish & festival or bammy is... Attending the Jamaica Music Conference the last day of seminars was conducted on The Boardwalk at Fort Clarence Beach. I was able to relax, people watch, listen to good music, drink fresh made juices, and choose the fish I would have freshly prepared for dinner. It really doesn't get to much better for me and the only thing missing was... More

The beach, off the tourist beaten path but well known by the locals, was clean and the sea inviting, The best time to visit is a weekday when it's not crowded. The food there is also varied and very good and we had a Jamaican favourite of fried fish and bammy. I understand that the lobster is also good.

The beach is about 40 minutes drive from Kingston, but by all accounts quieter than Hell Shire Beach, as there is a small charge. There are showers and changing facilities and also a good few benches and tables under trees to get some shade. The sea was quite rough when I visited and it was a little windy, but once... More

Its an ok beach. Its not the best beach in Jamaica. However, the fish is great and the environment is clean

This beach is quite a drive from Kingston but it was worth the drive, there are entry fee so the crowd was less and the beach was clean and nice.

One of the few places where you can experience the Caribbean sea in the neighbourhood of Kingston There is a small entrance fee a large sand beach with picknick spots Unfortunaly the "trade winds " often make the sea turbulent Only for good swimmers

I've visited this beach on more than one occasion, I've been there with my boyfriend and also with my extended family. I must say that I'm never disappointed. It's a big beach, lovely atmosphere. Big waves most times but I love that, just don't go too far if you are not a swimmer. Fried fish is also sold on the... More

Although it is not a very big beach, it is a little cute one. The fried fishes are sold there. You should not miss fried fishes and sea food there. Water at the beach, although it is not very clean, is acceptable to swim.

That is exactly the kind of beaches I was expecting to see in Jamaica. The sea is so beautiful and the weather was perfect when we visited.
