Best Bang for Your Buck -- Incredible Jamaican Waterfall Experience
Benta River Falls is a hidden gem. Just $20 a person and you get an entire tour, going up waterfalls, swimming in refreshing mineral water, jumping off a rope swing (if you dare), and just enjoying nature. Your guide is a pro and won't let you slip or fall or get hurt if you follow his direction. I tore my ACL in late October 2022 and had no problem completing the entire tour. Your guide will also take your phone for you and take plenty of photos and even videos of you and your group, and you don't need to waterproof your phone. He was super safe with mine and it stayed dry the whole time. It's an extra $5 a person for the clay rub-down that exfoliates your skin, and it's well worth it! It leaves your skin feeling so much softer and healthier, and it's part of the experience. You can and should rent water shoes that they will fit you for just $10 a person if you don't have your own, though I suspect you may be able to do it barefoot if you have tough feet. Afterward, there's a great bar for food and drinks with a TV showing martial arts movies. There were locals and tourists hanging out there, some kids playing with a cat, and others kicking a soccer ball. There's also a little shop of hand carved art and decor, so bring plenty of cash if you're into that. Would recommend this for anyone who wants to get the Jamaican waterfall experience without paying an arm and a leg. YS and Mayfield are nice, but Mayfield is just up the road and more than triple the price, and you're not getting much more expect maybe a bit longer of a tour/trek. Mayfield and YS are a lot more heavily trafficked and popular with tourists, so if you prefer off the beaten path, this is the place for you.

Benta River Waterfalls tour is a bit further on the same road as Mayfield Falls
Benta River Waterfalls tour is a bit further on the same road as Mayfield Falls. Some locals could try to lure you into local guides, just drive to the official entrance and handpick a friendly dreaded guide. Benta is a much more powerful waterfall than Mayfield. More difficult to climb. There is a swing and a deep blue hole. Hidden caves underneath the strong waterfall. A ideal hiding place for ancient pirates to hide their gold coins. Beautiful river falls surrounded by stunning jungle forest. A small restaurant is on the premises with great local dishes, Red Beans and Rice, Jerk. Drive by own car, entrance is 20$ pp. Resorts charge up to 150$ pp.

    A GEM IN WESTMORELAND
First time visiting this wonderful fall and park. The guides for our group were Deon and Damian. We always felt safe and Deon took great photos! Was my first time jumping off from some height, also swung Tarzan style into a blue hole. Exhilarating! The clay scrub administered by my guides left my skin smooth and silky. Definitely stop by this gem. Loved it!

    New Favorite
Mayfield was our favorite falls, until we visited Benta this trip! Beautiful river/falls. Not yet over-run with tours (I think we were 1 of 2 taxis while we were there). Didn't stay for lunch, but probably will next time. We brought our own water shoes. $20 for entry, $10 for a limestone mud scrub each, and a tip for the guide (plus some cash for beer/rum punch).

Fab place of the beaten track. Piece of hidden paradise
Great place. Very quiet and had the falls to our self. Guides was amazing. I have some mobility problems and not a swimmer so they got me up the waterfall no problem. Carried me and swam me across the places. Pulled me up countless rocks. Very friendly but beware it’s meant to be $20 per massage, they tried to charge us $50 per massage but I didnt know it was 20 Ended up giving them $70 for both so be weary of that

    Great Family Fun
My wife and 2 kids (ages 6 and 4) along with 2 friends of ours with their 2 kids (ages 5 and 3) recently went to Benta River Falls. We all had a great time. The scenery was beautiful. Thanks to our guides, Jah T and Denvoy, we were all kept safe during our walk up the waterfalls. There is even a spot to jump off a cliff or rope swing into the water. Our guides were great about making sure we all had some nice photos as well. After the walk up the waterfalls, we all had some delicious food that was cooked on site. I do recommend wearing a good pair of water shoes. If you don't have, there are some available to rent. Also for the kids, it might be good idea for them to wear floaties. My 4 year old definitely needed them. My 6 year old managed well without, but only because he's a good swimmer. Overall a great family trip both families and a nice trip outside the resort.

    Breathtaking Waterfalls
What a beautiful sight! Benta River Falls is a "must see" attraction. The water is cool, clear and blue, just like the sea. Our Tour Guides were knowledgeable and friendly, they took us on the trek up the falls, to the "mineral spa" and allowed time for photo ops. The grounds are well kept and great for a picnic.

    Amazing
Wasn't sure what to expect but had the best day ever in Jamaica in this place. Was expecting a walk up the waterfalls but the tour guides Duke and general helped us up every step of the way. WHEN i come come back to jamaica I'm going to spend a whole day here, sadly we only spent a few hours. I've been to YS falls and other falls this place is better! Adventurous climb up the falls with plenty of entertainment and swimming stops. Splash the cash, this place is not a tourist trap. Tasted the most amazing fruit here also from the local fruit guy. This is a reason to come back to jamaica. The mineral scrub is great and makes you feel so smooth. Tip well - they make your day fantastic!!!

    A bit of a find!
Off the beaten track & not teeming with tourists, but on the same river as Mayfield & closer to Negril, this activity was a bit of a find. You climb the falls, stopping at 10 pools & a mineral mud bath on the way. The pace is comfortable & you don’t feel hurried along. Most people could do the climb as it’s not challenging, as long as you have the rubber shoes & are reasonably confident in water as you will get very wet!

Awesome. Loved the tour, amazing guides.
This was a great tour. We have been to Jamaica several times before and we have absolutely enjoyed exploring and climbing waterfalls. Big difference this time around as i was traveling with my daughter and 20 month old grandson. We were very unsure as to what to expect or how far we would be able to go, wasn't sure how the little guy would be with the guides and the water but the three of us had a blast. We had two guides assigned to us because of having the little guy with us. Both guides, Rhoan, not sure of the other guys name, were absolutely wonderful with him and with us. They were both very friendly and funny and entertaining. Great tour guides. We were quite nervous at first not knowing how he would react with being carried and held by strangers but he was very well taken care of. He had no issues at all and was all smiles and loving the water very much. Much love to both guides for their patience and ability. The pictures they took for us all turned out fantastic as well. The mineral massage and bath was fun, the baby even had some too. Was a great time. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thanks so much for a great day out.

We had an awesome time in this unique setting with a great attentive staff.
Easy climb for a couple of seniors.
Get off the beach, enjoy the scenery to the falls. This is one of the best finds on the west side.

We experienced Benta Rive Falls yesterday and it was awesome. Jah T was our guide and I highly recommend him. The falls are natural and interesting. It is a great way to see the real Jamaica and visit with the local residents as they hang out there too.

When we booked this, I expected a pool at the base of some falls. This was a very immersive experience. We waded through pools, climbed the falls, jump off a cliff (about 20 feet). The entire journey took about an hour. We had three guides for our group of 8 people.

I highly recommend this experience. It is beautiful.
