Our tour stopped at Columbus Park on the way back from Dunn's River Falls to the cruise port in Falmouth, Jamaica. We figured it was merely a restroom break. However, it was a beautiful setting and we enjoyed looking around.
This is the bay in which Columbus set foot on Jamaican soil in 1492. The outdoor exhibits are worth a quick look and the restaurant has some of the best jerk chicken.

Because of the history, this should be rated a five, but due to the lack of upkeep is why we rated it low. From what we understand the aluminum company owns it. But it should be taken over by someone and taken care of it so others can learn the importance of this area with Christopher Columbus setting foot here around 1494. It's a beautiful spot.

We stopped and got a chance to see the Columbus Landng site. Has many artifacts out in the open. The view is amazing.

Right on the side of the road. Can not miss it. The guide points out a place in the bay where the water is "different". Fresh water entering the bay from an inland river for Columbus. So interesting. I am glad I did not miss this. Not much to it. Only took a minute and I loved it. Has all kind of old artifacts with signs in English. Guide was full of energy. Cracked an almond for us to eat. Fun. No cost. Just a tip.

A lovely little outside museum with great views of the bay. A nice bar to get drinks and snacks and whilst visiting they had a Reggae Band playing, which made it that bit more special.

I simply enjoyed the stop as I viewed various artefacts from various eras in Jamaica's history. I was a bit disappointed by the lack of upkeep but whilst there, I could see and was told about near future plans to improve the park's aesthetics.

Great rest stop on a hot day!
It's a great view and a nice hang out spot for a few minutes and there is no admission fee.
There are rest rooms and a Jerk center that has chicken and pork and a number of sides. the food is good, if you are very hungry.
There a a number of craft vendors but they are not pushy and they have some pretty good trinkets.
However, the place has fallen into disrepair. There use to a replica of a bow of a ship that jetted out into the water.
It is still there but the flooring has now rotted which has made it very dangerous.
It's a great spot to take pictures and enjoy the view.

Interesting and free museum along the road! Stop and plan a visit! It doesn't take much of your time but when there you travel back in time. Nice to explore!
