This was my second visit to Cranbrook. It's an absolutely beautiful place. My second visit was a bit subdued as the rain has fallen on the previous, which made the river swollen and dirty. The grounds are not as beautiful as it once was as they seemed to have scaled down operations since the pandemic

Cranbrook has an air of profound neglect. Potentially gorgeous, it’s obvious that the estate has been allowed to gently rot. Reached by a rough unmade road which really requires a 4wd, we were the only visitors today. Crumbling and crumbled: wooden bridges, stairs and man made bits. Some beautiful trees & plants plus a sighting of a hummingbird. If infrastructure was repaired/ replaced investment made and an idea of what Cranbrook could offer, this delightful, peaceful, beautiful place would be an absolute gem.

We visited Cranbrook Flower Forest April 10, '08. We loved Cranbrook - went on the River Nature Trail on our own, even though we could have had a guide. The path to the end, at the river head, seemed fairly easy to figure out & our tour guide, Wentworth assured us it was safe enough to go on our own. It was really nice to have some peace & quiet and enjoy the scenic trail. About 1/3 of the way, we passed a group of about 40 tourists & two guides leaving the trail - those 2 guides seemed so surprised to see us on our own. Loved following the trail beside the river and walked all the way to the river head, took lots of pictures on the way. Toward the end we could hear the screams & yells of those on the zip line above us - that was neat to watch them when they were in view. It was a very hot day, but at least most of the time we were walking in shade - took us 1 1/2 hrs to walk the trail & back. Doesn't seem like too many people go to Cranbrook - for those who enjoy easy hikes & lots of nature, flowers, birds and just enjoying the natural outdoors, this is a great place.

I absolutely loved this place. We were greeted by peacocks (actual peacocks) and they put on a show lol. The property is so well kept and clean. A lovely place with a variety of activities to do (hike, bike, zip lining) or just relax by the river that flows through the property, have a picnic, go on the swings or plan your wedding. We decided to do the bikes and ride up the River Nature Traill to go see the river head. The ride was challenging but fun and well worth the trip. Thankfully there was a little gazebo with seats for us to stop and rest. The river head was a sight to see and I was just in awe of how powerful and beautiful the water is coming out of the rocks. This is such a beautiful place to visit and truly become one with nature. Scenic is not word when it comes to this place...just STUNNING!!!

With thousands of breathtaking exotic flowers, lush tropical rainforest and a spectacular adventure trail that takes you deep into nature, I experienced some of Jamaica's most unique landscape. It's no wonder that this amazing caribbean paradise should be your first stop in Jamaica!

This is a nice picnic spot en route Kingston from Ochi or Port Antonio off the 'freeway'. The place is picturesque and well maintained. And given the fact that it is a free attraction, you can't go wrong.

Plenty of picture opportunities. The wading river was a nice plus. You could even taking a dip in the many small pools formed in the river.

In short, a wonderful picnic spot where you can spend a lazy day, or a pit stop en route Kingston. You will also find several vendors in the area right across from the Police Station selling soup and other Jamaican street food (excluding mannish water)...

THere's a majestic riveer running the entire property, you can walk for about 30 minutes along side the river up hill to find one of the many swimming holes. It's truly amazing.

We drove ourselves to here in a hire car and it was helpful that this was a Suzuki Jimny as the approach road is awful.

The gardens are lovely and we walked a fair way up the river into the forest and saw streamertails.

Beware the drink prices - USD 6 for a Coke is EXTORTIONATE unless they meant a vat rather than a bottle !
