The water has beautiful colors but it is at most 30 cm deep. Maybe it can be suutable for small children. Just take care with the echinus.

Giving it a 5 cause it's wild and untainted. Water is warm and shallow. Some fishes around so it's ok for snorkeling. Look out for sea urchins.

This was our last stop on a beach hopping day, it was right around sunset, perfect timing. I recommend this for any photographer trying to get amazing sunset photographs, or just a great beach back drop. It was so tranquil and relaxing, taking in all the pastel color changes of the the sky. Of course I took an evening dunk.... More

Of all the beaches in Guadeloupe, I think that this one has the best sand. It feels awesome between the toes. Also, it's long so even if you go on a more popular day (like a Sunday), it's not too difficult to find a part of the beach that doesn't have a ton of people so you can enjoy the... More

Although we didn't have the grandchildren in tow, this is a perfect beach for families with young children. The water is very calm with no significant waves or undertow due to a breakwater that protects the beach In fact the water is very shallow right up to the breakwater. There is also ample shade for when one wants to get... More

Beautiful natural beach just outside St. Anne. A hidden gem, perfect for families with children as there are no waves. The snorkeling was not great but perfect for a relaxing day. There was a restaurant on the beach but we didn't check it out. Street vendors were there with amazing Creole food or drink and the delicious sucre de coco... More

Probably the best beach we have visited so far in Guadeloupe. Very secluded and remote with topless sunbathing. It is best accessed by automobile. I wanted to snorkel; however, there was was not much to be had by way of snorkeling. Great place to picnic with a baguette of frommage and jambone.

Guadeloupe is a smorgasbord of beautiful beaches. On any other island I would rate this much higher, but after the beaches I've seen over the last 7 days it's average by Guadeloupe standards. There's a parking area and a restaurant (I didn't go to the restaurant so can't comment on it). The beach is shallow and calm, so it would... More

The Bois Jolan beach is extremely long and we may have been unlucky with the part that we chose to visit. It was fairly windy there and the entrance to the sea was guarded by a thick layer of seaweed. Even if you have swimming shoes, it is not an attractive prospect to enter the sea over such a barrier.... More

I went here on a recommendation of a friend and some reviews. It was gorgeous and a welcome relief from the crowds and traffic in Saint Anne and around Plage la Caravelle. Place de Bois Jolan is beautiful and peaceful. There are people there but it has a quiet and relaxed feel. There is plenty of shady spots to find.... More
