Pensarn or the Pebbley beach as we have always called it love the place, drive onto the beach brilliant. My biggest fault of late are the toilets, they used to be free but the council have put a charge on entry scheme. You can pay by card or coin which is fine but the last 3 visits this month I have not been able to enter the gents as it won't take either. I had to ask a lady to hold the door on each occasion so I could use the loo, this problem really needs looking at it spoils the whole day out

We visited on a wet and windy day in March. We didn’t expect anything to be open and it wasn’t. We enjoyed a bracing walk along the beach, the highlight was spotting various groups of oyster catchers, feeding and flying. Superb birds. The lowlight was the litter that others have mentioned. Even off season it mars the area. There are so many better beaches in the area we won’t be bothering again.

We loved Pensarn Beach and had many pleasant walks along the beach and promenade. Lovely little cafe where we could purchase Welsh memorabilia and enjoy a delicious coffee. I would recommend this beach, especially in the warmer months of the year.

This is a brilliant beach for families and dog owners. The beach is divided during the summer months so that people who do not have dogs do not have to share the beach, there is a large dog beach too. The beach area is very clean and a mixture of large pebbles and sandy areas. There are lots of things to do around the beach area, amusements and bouncy castle, several kiosks and cafes too.

While on holiday in a house close to the beach we used the beach everyday, in the sunshine and in the rain and we loved it. The beach is a bit stoney but as the tide goes out there is more sand and shallow water which makes it prefect for a toddler. Also has free parking and was not busy. There are also local cafes, shops and amusements that are always fun

Brief part of our visit to Abergele & locality . Sand / shingle , extends some distance , quite wide at high water . Shallow for kids but watch for currents & winds . Few facilities off season , but more beaches / facilities east & west in locality.

I frequently call here at weekends and during any holiday time spent in north wales. It has a most relaxing atmosphere , where you can sit back and soak up the north welsh coast line . I enjoy the cafe bars and all that's on offer including a read of the newspaper and basically to chill out . There is lots on offer to do here , walking with or without your dog, going on a bike ride, or simply enjoying the mountain scenery with Llandudno on the back drop. Me personally i just like to unwind and sometimes see the sunset.

Pensarn Beach is just brilliant, because, whatever the weather, you can drive onto the shingle and enjoy the sea views from the warmth of your car - and all this for free!
The local council has created an attractive area, with an outdoor mini-gym and landscaping, and this adds greatly to its appeal, when coupled with the places to eat - and for the children to enjoy the amusements and the Mini-Golf course. Pensarn Beach is truly a little gem on the North Wales Coast.

Free parking on the shingle beach and a free car park with toilet!
2 cafes, ammusments for the kids, ice cream and chips,Bingo for mum. A sea view and if you are lucky a seal or visiting rare bird to watch.
At low tide its golden sands are just the job with good swimming,a view of the little Orm to the left and Rhyl to the right. If you are still around at dusk you could be in for a sun set that will make you know what a wonderful world this is!
