- kingyd2017Haworth, United Kingdom415 contributionsWonderfulWe stumbled upon the museum whist on a walk in St George’s and what a fabulous place it is. We enjoyed the demonstration and learnt a lot about Coco Butter etc. My Diabetes meant I couldn’t sample any chocolate but we did thoroughly enjoy our visit to the museum.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten December 30, 2023
- Elle C3 contributionsAmazingWent today with a small group. It's smells amazing! It was so informative and quick and the chocolate is good. It's a great stop. You can tell the passion and pride in the man that works there. I was sad when his presentation was over. Excellent place. My favorite Grenada memory.Visited January 2024Traveled with familyWritten January 18, 2024
- kewpie1Seneca, South Carolina348 contributionsI’ve cream too. Say no more☺️Went down to walk the Carenage during the 50th anniversary and came upon the museum (which is more shop than museum) but definitely worth while. There was a young gentleman that enthusiastically explained the history of chocolate and also how it’s harvested, used and made. Highly recommend the ice cream while there-very rich and the flavors packed a punch!Visited February 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten February 3, 2024
- anouska cNew York City, New York304 contributionsYummy!Cool delicious respite. Great place to learn the history of chocolate in Grenada and the world. Various chocolates and ice cream to buy as well as local products. WiFi and limited amount of seating.Visited February 2024Traveled with friendsWritten February 24, 2024
- BeLaZePenfield, New York399 contributionsNice but smaller than expectedA cosy and visually appealing shop with a tiny historical exhibit. Very good variety of chocolate and some high-end deserts. Also good ice cream (though they did not have chocolate). Service is fairly kind even if not friendly. It is a pretty small place to travel to St George’s for as we did, though if you are in the neighborhood, it is definitely worth a visit. Also, the museum is next door.Visited February 2024Traveled with familyWritten March 7, 2024
- Jane LNewbury, United Kingdom51 contributionsBest ice cream ever!Informative chat about chocolate production. Then, the best ice cream we've ever had. So now we skip lunch and keep coming back here for ice cream instead! 6/10/15 ECD for 1/2/3 scoops. Wow!Visited March 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten March 13, 2024
- Iris B167 contributionsAll things chocolate GrenadaIt’s just a shop but they also have information plaques about chocolate in Grenada and the process. There was a person who walked us through a demo- with tasting- there. Prices are fair but actually cheaper at some of the airport departure area shopsVisited March 2024Traveled with friendsWritten March 23, 2024
- Sufia GizaAtlanta, Georgia9 contributionsDelicious Vegan Chocolate Ice CreamEnjoyed a delicious vegan chocolate ice cream there, while taking in the museum. It’s nicely curated, with historical items once used in making chocolate, and lots of information. Great experience. Simple self guided tour of museum is nice.Visited June 2024Traveled soloWritten June 29, 2024

This is an inviting shop with a cafe selling a range of handmade chocolates, chocolate cakes and chocolate drinks as well as a small selection of clothes and jewellery. There is also a small display explaining about growing cocoa beans and the process to produce chocolate. This looked very sad and dated and needed a revamp…I wouldn’t really call it a speciality museum but would recommend it as a friendly chocolate cafe.

I'd say the primary function of the House of Chocolate, is to sell you some. You can either buy bars of the stuff, with varying cocoa content or buy the powder, for a nice hot choc when you return home. If you can't wait that long, then there is a seated area, where you can have a hot choc or get stuck in to a bar. If you know nothing about chocolate whatsoever and want to learn, there is an small exhibition area with a few exhibits, which explains where cocoa comes from. No matter what anyone says, this is not a museum. Best thing for me, was the free wifi. Coming off a cruise ship with extortionate internet rates, this was a godsend. Next best thing, the free samples. who doesn't like a free piece of choccy?
If you just go in to have a look around and don't buy anything or use wifi, 10 minutes would be stretching it. If you stop for wifi and a beverage, allow 30 minutes.
Remember, it's ostensibly a shop, so it doesn't cost you to go in.
If you are on your way from the fort down to the horseshoe harbour, then you may as well pop you head in. You have nothing to lose.

Worth a stop for sure. Airconditioned, smells so good inside, places to sit comfortably. Serves delicious ice cream. Love the nutmeg one! Many things to buy inside.

The chocolate & coffee ice cream blew our minds it was so delicious. Service is very slow so allow plenty of time. Interesting produce for sale from all the Grenadan chocolate producers with information on the cocoa history of the country. Worthwhile visit

Nice informative tour with samples. Excellent chocolates...but make sure you don't leave unless you get a shake. We had one Chocolate shake and a peanut butter brownie shake and they were possibly the greatest liquid dessert I've ever had! Oh, and did I mention that I don't like chocolate shakes...I guess that's because I've never had one with real chocolate.

The ice cream was delicious and we left with a bundle of their flavorful chocolate.
The store is a victim of its own success and was very crowded which made ordering and payment a slow, chaotic process.
Expensive clothes were also on sale.

Try to find them as Grenada House of Chocolate.
They were closed on their Independence Day, as were many other businesses!

I'd agree - around 10+ mins albeit it could be challenging for people who are not good walkers since it's a bit hilly. Worth it though - lovely shop / attraction for all things chocolate.
