I visited on a slow day. No cruise ships in port and no distilling taking place. This used to produce from cane to rum but that is mostly a museum now as they import the molasses from Panama and Guyana. They were awaiting a shipment so no distilling when I was there. Still I had an informative solo tour and then tasted, which I enjoyed.

Just stopped in to pick up a bottle of rum... and was I surprised. The shop is warmly laid out and inviting. SO any bottles of rum to choose from. They are a tour of the plant as well.
A nice stop over and love the rum.

Stopped here unsure if we were actually at the right spot, but the security man at the gate reassured us. Had a nice tour with a great young man. There was a tasting afterwards as well. They make their rum from molasses as opposed to sugar cane. Still delicious. Neat history. Friendly, helpful staff.

We only had a short, hurried visit as there were several tours at the same time going thru. There was also a big rush for sampling after paying a dollar P.P. for the privilege. Quite a few flavors and brands, but we have visited a lot distilleries, wineries and brewerys over the years, but never been as rushed as we were here. There was only one guy pouring samples to a group of tourists lined four deep, this was a very disorganized sampling and one that took away the desire to buy their product.

Worth a stop if you like rum. Tour was brief but informative ( 2$ US) and included a rum tasting. Curiously, there is a uniformed guard and the gate stays closed so you have to stop outside until someone comes out. Not much in terms of signage so watch for the big metal buildings.

The Grenada Distiller's Ltd. is the largest distillery on the island of Grenada. A tour of of the factory takes you back to historical times with the grinding of sugar cane to make molasses, that was then distilled into the finest rums. At the end of the tour you have the option of sampling over 15 flavours of exotic authentic Caribbean rums.
